CelineMedium Boogie Handbag

Q: What typically fits inside the Céline Boogie (Medium)?
A: With measurements around 32 × 20 × 14 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a large smartphone, continental wallet, keys, sunglasses in a soft case, a compact umbrella and a small cosmetics pouch. An A5 diary/notebook fits flat. Slim tablets up to about 10–11 inches may fit horizontally depending on the case and how you pack. Please use the measurements and photos as your best guide.

Q: Is this a handheld or shoulder bag?
A: The Boogie is designed as a top‑handle handbag. This piece has dual rolled handles with an approximate 10 cm drop, ideal for hand or crook‑of‑arm carry rather than shoulder wear.

Q: How does this bag close, and is it secure for daily use?
A: This specific bag has an open top. Inside, it offers three compartments with internal pockets, including a central zipped section for valuables, plus two external side pockets for quick access. We recommend using small pouches for loose items and avoiding overfilling for added security.

Q: Will it fit a 13‑inch laptop or A4 documents?
A: Generally no. While the width is about 32 cm, the 20 cm height makes A4 paper and most 13‑inch laptops a tight or unsuitable fit. It is better suited to smaller devices and documents up to A5.

Q: What is the interior and exterior layout of this piece?
A: Externally there are two side pockets. Internally, the black fabric lining is divided into three compartments with additional pockets, helping to organise everyday items. Layout details can vary slightly across Boogie editions.

Q: When was the Boogie introduced, and what is its background?
A: The Boogie rose to popularity in the early 2000s during Michael Kors’s tenure as creative director at Céline, becoming one of the brand’s signature styles of that era. This is an authenticated vintage piece from that lineage.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: A dust bag is included. Everything that comes with the bag is listed under product information on this page; if an item is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How should I care for the grained leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt, avoid harsh chemicals and baby wipes, keep the bag away from prolonged sunlight and heat, and store it loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag to help maintain its shape. Condition sparingly with a suitable leather product if the leather feels dry.

Q: Is the Boogie still produced today?
A: The Boogie is most commonly found on the pre‑loved market in various leathers and finishes. Availability in boutiques varies by season; this item is a vintage example.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this bag?
A: Every item is checked by our in‑house experts using multi‑point inspections of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and serial markings. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further details on request.
