GucciLarge Nexus Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Gucci Large Nexus Tote?
A: With approximate measurements of 40 × 39 × 11.5 cm, it comfortably carries a 13–15-inch laptop (and many slim 16-inch models), A4 folders/documents, a large smartphone, continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses, earbuds and a small cosmetics pouch. The zip‑top and multiple pockets make it a practical everyday or commute bag. If you’d like a tailored fit check for a specific device, just ask and we’ll test this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a laptop and is there a dedicated sleeve?
A: Yes—this Large Nexus Tote is designed with work/travel in mind and typically includes an internal padded laptop pocket; most 15-inch devices fit comfortably and many 16-inch slim laptops also fit. Compare your device’s dimensions with our Measurements, or contact us and we’ll verify the fit for this item.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody? What are the carry options?
A: It features dual top handles (approx. 9 cm drop) for hand/crook‑of‑arm carry and a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap (approx. 28 cm drop) for shoulder wear. The strap length is generally not intended for true crossbody on most wearers.

Q: How secure is the closure and what’s the pocket layout like?
A: The main compartment has a zip‑top closure for everyday security. Inside, you’ll find fabric lining with organisational pockets; there are also external pockets for quick‑access items. Exact pocket configuration can vary by season—please refer to our photos and description for this piece’s layout.

Q: What is GG nylon and is it water‑resistant?
A: GG nylon is a soft yet resilient fabric with Gucci’s all‑over GG motif. It’s naturally water‑resistant for light splashes but not fully waterproof—avoid heavy rain and prolonged moisture. If it becomes lightly wet, blot gently and allow to air‑dry away from heat.

Q: How should I care for the nylon and hardware?
A: For routine care, dust with a clean, soft cloth. For marks, spot‑clean nylon using lukewarm water with a drop of gentle soap, then blot and air‑dry. Avoid harsh chemicals, machine washing or direct heat. Be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim; store the bag upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, with hardware protected to minimise hairline scratches.

Q: Is the Nexus line current or vintage?
A: Nexus styles appear in recent Gucci collections in GG nylon, while availability can vary by season and region. As this is a pre‑loved piece, the secondary market is the best way to find specific configurations like this Large black tote.

Q: Where are Gucci brand markings and codes typically found?
A: Authentic Gucci bags usually have an interior leather tag embossed “GUCCI Made in Italy,” with a serial/style code debossed on the reverse. Newer pieces may include an additional QR/NFC label. Placement and format can vary by model and year—let us know if you’d like close‑up photos of this exact bag.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: Everything included with this item is listed under “Accessories”—for this piece we note a detachable shoulder strap. If a dust bag or box isn’t mentioned, it isn’t included. Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps/serials and overall construction—we stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell.

Q: Is it suitable for travel or as a personal item on flights?
A: The slim depth and zip‑top make it travel‑friendly and it will fit A4 documents and a laptop. Airline “personal item” size limits vary; at approx. 40 × 39 cm this tote may fit under the seat on some airlines when not overfilled, but we recommend checking your carrier’s exact allowance and contacting us if you’d like packing advice for this bag.
