Louis VuittonEpi Noé GM Bag

Q: What size is this Louis Vuitton Epi Noé GM Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 33 cm in height, 26 cm in width and 19 cm in depth. It is a roomy bucket-style shoulder bag that offers generous day-to-day capacity while keeping the classic Noé silhouette.

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Epi Noé GM Bag?
A: The Noé GM is designed as a spacious bucket bag, so it can usually hold daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, cosmetics pouch and a small water bottle, with room left for a compact umbrella or light knitwear. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This model is best suited to shoulder wear. The strap is adjustable and the listed strap drop is 26 cm, which gives a comfortable shoulder carry for most people, but it is generally not long enough for a true crossbody fit.

Q: What is Epi leather and why is it popular?
A: Epi leather is one of Louis Vuitton’s best-known leather finishes, recognised for its textured linear grain and structured feel. It is appreciated for being durable, shape-retaining and more resistant to everyday scratches than many smoother leathers, which makes it a practical choice for regular use.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe the exterior gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, oils and over-conditioning. Keep the bag away from prolonged heat, direct sunlight and heavy moisture, and store it in a cool, dry place with light stuffing inside to help maintain its shape.

Q: What does the serial number AR0955 indicate?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this period commonly use two letters for the production location followed by four digits for the month and year. The code AR0955 is generally read as France, September 1995, which aligns with this bag’s vintage profile and its made-in-France origin label.

Q: What accessories are included with this bag?
A: This item is listed with no accessories. If you are looking for original extras such as a dust bag, box or other accompanying items, please rely on the product information shown on this page, as only the items listed there are included.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition overall. The exterior shows minor marks and creasing, the interior has a light trace of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches and some tarnishing. These are typical signs of careful wear for a vintage bag of this age.

Q: How do you authenticate a pre-owned Louis Vuitton bag like this?
A: Authentication should never rely on a date code alone. A proper review considers the materials, construction, stitching, hardware, stamps, shape and overall consistency with the model. At A Retro Tale, all items are professionally vetted for authenticity before being offered for sale.
