Louis VuittonLove Lock Porte Monnaie Coeur Coin Purse

Q: What typically fits inside the Love Lock heart coin purse?
A: It comfortably carries coins, folded notes, a house key and other tiny essentials like a lip balm. Due to the curved shape, capacity is best for small items rather than bulkier contents. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Do standard credit or ID cards fit inside?
A: It is not designed for full‑size cards. Some users report that a single card may fit diagonally, but it is a tight squeeze and not recommended for regular use as it can stress the leather and zip. This piece is primarily intended for coins and small essentials.

Q: Can I clip it to a bag or belt loop?
A: Yes. It features a small chain with a hook and a D‑ring so you can attach it to a bag’s D‑ring, handle ring or a belt loop, and it can also be styled as a charm on larger bags.

Q: Is the chain removable?
A: The hook opens to attach/detach from rings, but the chain itself is fixed to the purse and is not designed to be fully removed.

Q: Which collection and year is this piece from?
A: This is from Louis Vuitton’s Love Lock capsule launched in early 2019, distinguished by mixed‑metal heart, key and padlock motifs applied to classic materials such as Epi leather.

Q: What are the materials and hardware on this model?
A: Textured Epi leather in white with a white leather lining, mixed gold‑ and silver‑tone Love Lock embellishments, a petite chain with hook, and a zip‑around closure. Please see product information for the full specification of this exact item.

Q: How should I care for white Epi leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, light‑coloured cloth and avoid soaps or solvents. Keep away from prolonged sunlight and heat, and avoid contact with substances like hand sanitiser, perfumes, oils and makeup. With light colours, minimise contact with dark fabrics to reduce the risk of colour transfer. Store loosely stuffed in its dust bag when not in use.

Q: Does this item have a date code or microchip, and where would it be?
A: Pieces from 2019 typically have a stamped date code rather than a microchip. On small leather goods it is usually along an interior seam or near a side edge. Louis Vuitton transitioned from date codes to embedded microchips from March 2021 onwards.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: According to the product information, this piece comes with a box and a dust bag. Everything included is always listed under the product information section on this page.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this piece?
A: Every item is thoroughly vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, heat stamps, hardware engraving and date coding where applicable. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional details on request.
