Louis VuittonMonogram Keepall 50 Weekend Bag

Q: What are the measurements of this Louis Vuitton Keepall 50?
A: This bag measures approximately 50 cm wide, 27 cm high and 22 cm deep, with a handle drop of 10 cm. The 50 in the model name refers to its approximate width in centimetres.

Q: What can I pack inside the Keepall 50?
A: It is a practical size for a weekend away, with room for changes of clothing, toiletries and smaller travel essentials. The amount you can pack depends on the bulk of your belongings and how you arrange them; shoes and heavier clothing will reduce the available space. Avoid overpacking, particularly given this item’s existing leather wear.

Q: Can I use this Keepall 50 as cabin baggage?
A: The Keepall 50 is generally considered a cabin-sized travel bag, but acceptance is not guaranteed. Compare this item’s measurements of 50 × 27 × 22 cm with your airline’s current allowance, including handles and any bulging when packed. Check cabin-bag and under-seat personal-item limits separately, as they are not interchangeable.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap?
A: No shoulder strap is listed in the product information. This item is listed as the classic Keepall 50 rather than a Bandoulière version, and its listed carrying option is the top handles, with a drop of approximately 10 cm.

Q: What condition is this particular bag in?
A: This pre-owned bag is rated Good Condition. The Vachetta leather has a visible patina, with wear and cracking on the side tabs and watermarks on the handles and trim. The interior is in good condition with light signs of use, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: Is the Monogram Keepall made entirely from leather?
A: No. The classic Monogram Keepall combines coated canvas with natural cowhide leather handles and trim, commonly called Vachetta. The canvas forms the main body, while the leather develops a darker patina over time. This item already has a visible patina, as described in its condition report.

Q: What comes with this bag?
A: The product information lists a padlock and key. A shoulder strap, dust bag, box or other extras are not listed, so please do not assume they are included.

Q: How should I clean and store this vintage Keepall?
A: Gently wipe the coated canvas with a soft, lightly dampened cloth, keeping moisture away from the leather trim. Avoid solvents, oils, alcohol-based products and home leather treatments. If the Vachetta gets wet, blot it promptly with a light-coloured, lint-free absorbent cloth. Store the bag in a breathable protective bag in a ventilated place away from sunlight and heat. Given the existing cracking, seek professional advice rather than attempting to restore the leather yourself.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The product information identifies this particular Keepall as made in France and records the code SP0941. These details relate to this item, rather than the manufacturing locations listed for current Keepall models.
