Louis VuittonNew Wave Chain Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton New Wave Chain Tote Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 34 x 22 x 14 cm, this tote is suited to daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, small cosmetics pouch and a compact tablet or e-reader. Its wider base also makes it practical for day-to-evening use. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: How can this bag be carried?
A: This bag features a sliding chain shoulder strap with a multicoloured leather pad, so it can be worn with a shorter drop or a longer shoulder drop depending on your preference. The listed strap measurements are approximately 29/51 cm.

Q: What material and finish does this bag have?
A: This New Wave Chain Tote Bag is crafted in black quilted calf leather with gold-tone hardware. The signature wavy quilting is one of the defining design features of the Louis Vuitton New Wave line.

Q: Does the bag have compartments or pockets inside?
A: Yes. According to the product information, it has a black microfibre lining with internal compartments and pockets, making it easier to organise smaller essentials inside the bag.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The bag has a magnetic tab closure. This makes it quick and convenient to open and close while still helping to keep everyday items neatly contained.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good Condition. The exterior shows slight scuffing on the corners, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This item includes the bag, receipt and dust bag. Everything included is listed under the product information; if something is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What does the serial number TJ0199 indicate?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this period are commonly used to indicate the place and time of production rather than serving as a unique serial number. In this case, TJ0199 is consistent with a 2019 production date, and this item is listed in the product information as made in France. As with all Louis Vuitton pieces, the code alone should not be used as the only authenticity check.

Q: How should I care for black quilted calf leather?
A: Calf leather should be handled gently. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid harsh cleaners and exposure to oils, perfume, rain or prolonged direct sunlight, and store the bag in its dust bag when not in use. Light structure support when stored can also help maintain the bag’s shape.
