Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel Wallet on Chain bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 19 x 12 x 4 cm, this bag is best suited to day-to-evening essentials such as a phone, cards, folded notes, keys and a lipstick. Like most Wallet on Chain styles, it works best when packed lightly rather than as an everyday carry-all.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: Yes. The strap drop is approximately 61 cm, which generally allows for comfortable shoulder or crossbody wear depending on your height and preferred fit.

Q: Is a Chanel Wallet on Chain more of a bag or a wallet?
A: It is a hybrid of both. This style is loved because it combines the organisation of a wallet with the convenience of a compact shoulder or crossbody bag, making it especially practical for travel, evenings out and occasions when you only need the essentials.

Q: Will a phone fit inside?
A: In most cases, yes, but it depends on the size of your phone and case. Slim to standard-sized phones usually fit well in a Chanel Wallet on Chain, while oversized phones or very bulky cases may make the interior feel tight. Please compare your phone with the bag measurements listed on this page before purchasing.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: This piece is rated Very Good Condition. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The product information for this piece includes a dust bag and serial number tag. If any additional item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: When was this bag made?
A: The serial number begins with 30 and the product data states 2020, so this bag is dated to 2020.

Q: How should I care for a Chanel Wallet on Chain bag?
A: Store it upright in its dust bag when not in use, keep it away from prolonged sunlight, humidity, perfume and other chemicals, and avoid overfilling so it keeps its shape. For routine care, use a soft cloth and handle the leather and hardware gently.

Q: Is this a good day-to-night bag?
A: Yes. The Chanel Wallet on Chain is especially popular as a hands-free piece that transitions easily from daytime errands to dinners and events, thanks to its slim profile and elegant chain strap.

Q: How do you authenticate Chanel bags at A Retro Tale?
A: All items sold by A Retro Tale are carefully vetted for authenticity by experts. For Chanel pieces, this typically includes checking construction, materials, hardware, interior details and serial information before the item is approved for sale.
