Q: What size is this hat, and how should I check the fit?
A: The model variant for this listing indicates size S. Dior commonly sizes comparable D-Tulipe cloche hats by head circumference, so if you are unsure of fit, we recommend comparing it with a hat you already own and using the listed flat width of approximately 27 cm as an additional guide.

Please note that the majority of our items are vintage and therefore have tales to tell unless stated otherwise. Therefore, please look at pictures, descriptions and measurements provided as they give you the best idea of the story this item has to tell.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: What is the Christian Dior D-Tulipe Cloche Knit Hat made from?
A: This style is crafted in a navy blue and white cotton-blend knit. The official Dior version of this design is described as 95% cotton and 5% polyamide, giving it a soft feel with light structure.

Q: What are the key design details of this hat?
A: This piece features a navy blue and white knit with the CHRISTIAN DIOR signature and the House star motif. The D-Tulipe cloche shape gives it a polished yet relaxed look.

Q: Is the hat lined?
A: No. This hat is unlined, which helps keep it lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Q: Is this hat suitable for warmer weather?
A: Yes. Its cotton-blend knit and unlined construction make it a good choice for spring, summer, and mild early autumn wear. It is more of a fashion piece than a heavy winter hat.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: It is listed in very good vintage condition with light traces of use externally and internally. As with many pre-owned knit hats, gentle signs of wear can be normal, but no major issues are noted in the product information.

Q: How should I care for a vintage knit hat like this?
A: We recommend gentle handling, avoiding machine washing, and storing it away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. If light pilling appears over time, it is best removed carefully with a fabric or knit comb rather than pulling at the fibres.

Q: Does this piece come with any additional items?
A: No additional items are included with this hat. If anything is included with a piece, it will always be stated in the product information.

Q: Where was this hat made?
A: The country of origin label states Italy.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully checked by in-house experts using a multi-point review of materials, construction, branding details, and overall craftsmanship, so you can shop with confidence.
