GucciFlower Pearl Clip-on Earrings

Q: Are these Gucci Flower Pearl Clip‑on Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every piece at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made of? Are the pearls real and is the metal solid gold?
A: This vintage pair is described as gold‑tone fashion jewellery with faux pearl embellishments and a floral design featuring the Interlocking G logo. They are not solid gold and the pearls are not natural/cultured pearls unless explicitly stated.

Q: Do I need pierced ears and how secure is the fastening?
A: No piercing is required. They are clip‑on earrings that attach to the earlobe with a tension clip. As with most clip‑ons, ensure the clip is fully engaged and adjusted for comfortable hold before wear.

Q: What size are they and how noticeable will they be?
A: Each earring measures approximately 2 cm (height) x 2 cm (width) x 2 cm (depth). At around 2 cm across, they offer a refined floral accent that’s visible without being overly large. If you’d like the exact gram weight or a photo on ear for scale, just ask and we’ll provide it.

Q: How can I make clip‑on earrings more comfortable for longer wear?
A: Small adjustments often help. Add silicone or foam comfort pads to the clip, make tiny tension tweaks if the mechanism allows, and build up wear time gradually. A competent jeweller can also fine‑tune clip tension or replace worn pads.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive skin? Do they contain nickel?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys and platings may contain or release small amounts of nickel, and sensitivities vary by person. If you have a known allergy, consider using barrier products or silicone pads on contact points, limit wear time, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone finish and faux pearls?
A: Keep them dry and away from perfume, hairspray, lotions and hand sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips, as these can damage plating and the coating on faux pearls. Store individually in a pouch or box to prevent scratches.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect and where are they located?
A: Gucci fashion earrings typically feature the GUCCI signature and often “Made in Italy.” Placement varies by era and style, commonly on the back of the earring or on the clip mechanism. Our listing photos show any marks present on this pair.

Q: Can clip‑ons be repaired, tightened, or converted to pierced posts?
A: A jeweller can usually service clip mechanisms (tighten, straighten, replace pads). Conversion to posts is sometimes possible but may alter the design and affect originality and resale value; non‑invasive comfort pads or earring converters are often preferable.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: They are in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. This listing includes a box; only accessories specifically shown or listed are included. Earrings are eligible for return under our standard policy provided they are in the same condition received—please see our Returns page for full details.
