Cartier21 Must de Cartier 32mm Ref 1330 Watch

Q: What movement powers this watch?
A: The 21 Must de Cartier Ref. 1330 uses a Swiss quartz movement. Typical battery life is around three years, and Cartier recommends replacing the battery and seals approximately every two to three years to maintain performance and water resistance.

Q: What is the size and how does it wear?
A: The case measures approximately 31–32 mm across (excluding the crown), which wears as a classic midsize/unisex watch. This example is currently sized to fit a 15 cm wrist or smaller; the integrated bracelet can be adjusted by removing or adding links.

Q: Can you adjust or supply extra bracelet links?
A: Bracelet links are removable for sizing and a competent jeweller or watchmaker can add or take out links. Any extra links or parts are only included if specified in the product information; if you need additional links, contact us and we will advise on sourcing options for this model.

Q: Is it water resistant and can I swim with it?
A: As a vintage watch, water resistance cannot be guaranteed. Cartier advises replacing seals about every two years (often done during battery service) and pressure‑testing before any water exposure. We recommend avoiding showers, pools and the sea with this watch.

Q: What materials and finish does the watch have?
A: It is crafted in stainless steel with gold‑tone or gilt accents, including the Roman numeral bezel and bracelet details. On many Must 21 examples these accents are gold‑plated/vermeil. Light wear to plating is normal on vintage pieces and is reflected in the condition notes.

Q: When was the Must 21 line introduced?
A: The Must 21 collection debuted in the mid‑1980s as a refined, sporty evolution of the Les Must de Cartier concept, pairing Cartier aesthetics with precise quartz movements.

Q: What crystal does it use?
A: Must 21 models are typically fitted with a scratch‑resistant crystal. As specifications can vary between production runs, we recommend treating the watch with care and avoiding abrasive contact.

Q: What is included with this watch?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information. This piece is offered without additional items such as a box or paperwork unless specifically stated.

Q: How do I care for it day‑to‑day?
A: Keep the crown pushed in, avoid magnets and extreme temperature changes, and wipe the watch with a soft cloth after wear. Have the battery and seals replaced periodically and avoid immersing the watch unless it has been recently pressure‑tested.

Q: How do you authenticate this watch?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is examined by specialists using multi‑point checks of materials, finishes, hallmarks, movement and reference details. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share further documentation or photos on request.
