A: This bag measures approximately 19 cm wide, 18 cm high and 9 cm deep. It is a compact shoulder bag with enough space for everyday essentials while keeping a neat, structured shape.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: Its size is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, cardholder or small wallet, keys, lipstick and a few slim extras. A: Chanel caviar leather is loved for its textured, grained finish and practical durability. Compared with smoother leathers, it generally resists scratches better, holds its shape well and is a popular choice for everyday use.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Chanel bag?
A: Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, and avoid overfilling it so the shape stays intact. For day-to-day care, gently wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners or oils. Because this is a vintage item, careful storage and light handling will help preserve both the leather and hardware.

Q: Does this item come with any accessories?
A: Yes, this item includes a pouch. Any included extras are listed in the product information; if an item is not listed there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is good, with light traces of use. The interior is also in good condition with light traces of use, the hardware remains shiny with light scratches, and the interior has a vintage smell. We recommend reviewing all photos carefully for the most accurate impression.

Q: Is a vintage smell normal in pre-owned Chanel bags?
A: It can be, especially in older bags that have been stored for long periods. In this case, a vintage smell is noted in the interior condition. This does not necessarily affect functionality, but it is worth considering if you are sensitive to scent.

Q: Was this bag made in Italy?
A: Yes, the country of origin listed for this item is Italy.

Q: How do you authenticate a vintage Chanel bag?
A: At A Retro Tale, authenticity is assessed through expert review of the bag’s materials, construction, hardware, branding details and overall consistency with the model and era. With vintage Chanel, collectors often ask about details such as leather grain, finishing, stamps and serial-era features, but authentication should always be based on the item as a whole rather than a single element alone.
