ChanelCC Caviar Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Caviar Tote Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 33 x 32 x 12 cm, it is well suited to daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetics pouch and slim documents. It may also suit a small tablet, but if you plan to carry a laptop, we recommend comparing your device measurements with the bag dimensions first.

Q: Can this bag be carried comfortably on the shoulder?
A: Yes. It features dual flat shoulder straps and an approximate strap drop of 32 cm, so it is designed to sit on the shoulder rather than be carried by hand.

Q: Is Chanel caviar leather a practical choice for everyday use?
A: Yes. Caviar leather is one of Chanel's most popular everyday finishes because the grained texture is generally more resistant to visible scratches and tends to hold its shape better than smoother leathers. As with any vintage bag, avoiding overfilling will help preserve its structure.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Chanel bag?
A: Gently wipe it with a soft dry cloth, avoid harsh cleaning products, and keep it away from prolonged sunlight, moisture and heat. Store it upright and lightly stuffed when not in use so the shape stays supported.

Q: Is the bag secure for daily use?
A: Yes. This tote has a top zip closure, which offers more security than an open-top shopper, and it is finished with a black leather lining.

Q: What does the serial number tell me about the age of the bag?
A: The serial number begins with 1, which corresponds to Chanel bags produced between 1989 and 1991. This aligns with the vintage dating listed in the product information.

Q: Does this bag come with an authenticity card, box or dust bag?
A: Only the serial number is listed in the product information for this item. If an additional item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in Very Good condition. The exterior shows light wear on the corners, the interior has a light trace of use, and the hardware shows scratches and tarnishing consistent with age and wear.

Q: Will the hardware look bright and polished?
A: The bag has gold-tone hardware, but please note that the hardware condition is described as having scratches and tarnishing. That is typical for a vintage Chanel piece and is reflected in the overall condition.
