ChanelCC Surpique Chevron Flap Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Surpique Chevron Flap Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 25 x 14 x 4 cm, this small flap bag is best for daily essentials rather than bulky items. It will typically suit a phone, cardholder or slim wallet, keys, lipstick and a few small personal items. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the most accurate size reference.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This piece is designed primarily as a shoulder bag. The strap length is approximately 58 cm, which gives a comfortable shoulder drop for most wearers, but it is generally not intended as a true crossbody style.

Q: Is this a single flap or double flap Chanel bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag is a Single Flap model. Single flap Chanel bags are often appreciated for being slightly lighter and easier to access than double flap styles, while still keeping the classic CC turn-lock look.

Q: What material and finish does this bag have?
A: This bag features black chevron quilted leather with gold-tone hardware. Chanel’s Surpique Chevron styles are loved for their stitched chevron pattern, which gives the bag a structured, graphic look while remaining timeless and easy to dress up or down.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good, with light traces of use noted externally and internally. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with all pre-owned luxury bags, minor signs of wear are normal and form part of the item’s character.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: This item includes product information listed as a dust bag and serial number tag. If something is not listed under the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What does the serial number period mean?
A: The serial number begins with 26, which corresponds to production from 2018 to 2019 according to the product information. On Chanel bags from this era, the serial sticker is one part of the authentication picture, but it should always be considered together with materials, hardware, stitching and overall construction.

Q: How should I care for this Chanel leather flap bag?
A: Store it in its dust bag when not in use, keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight, moisture and rough surfaces, and avoid overfilling so the shape stays neat. For routine care, gently wipe with a soft dry cloth. For deeper cleaning or restoration, specialist luxury leather care is recommended.

Q: Is this a practical everyday Chanel size?
A: Yes, if you prefer to carry only essentials. A small Chanel flap like this is often chosen for day-to-evening use because it is compact, elegant and easier to carry than larger flap styles, while still offering enough space for the basics.

Q: How do you authenticate a pre-owned Chanel bag like this?
A: At A Retro Tale, pre-owned items are carefully vetted for authenticity using a multi-point review of details such as leather quality, stitching, hardware, serial features and overall craftsmanship. For this bag, the 2018 to 2019 serial period and Chanel construction details are part of that broader authentication assessment.
