Q: Is this necklace made of solid gold?
A: No, this piece is described as gold-tone metal. That means it offers the look of gold, but it is not solid gold.

Q: Will vintage Chanel jewellery show wear over time?
A: Yes, that is normal. Vintage Chanel costume jewellery can develop light scratches, patina, or minor surface changes with age and wear. This example is currently noted as shiny with only light scratches.

Q: How should I care for this necklace?
A: To help preserve the finish, apply perfume, lotions, and makeup before putting it on, avoid water and prolonged moisture, wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth after wear, and store it separately so it does not rub against other jewellery.

Q: How is vintage Chanel jewellery usually authenticated?
A: Buyers typically look at the overall construction, weight, finish, and hallmark details together rather than relying on a stamp alone. At A Retro Tale, vintage Chanel pieces are professionally authenticated before sale.

Q: Is this necklace easy to style and layer?
A: Yes, the 52 cm length makes it versatile for both solo wear and layering. It works well as a statement necklace on its own and can also pair nicely with shorter chains for a layered look.
