Dolce & GabbanaDangling Watches and Rhinestone Necklace

Q: Is this Dolce & Gabbana Dangling Watches and Rhinestone Necklace authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What materials is it made from? Are the stones diamonds and is the metal solid gold?
A: Dolce & Gabbana fashion jewellery is typically crafted from gold‑tone plated base metal (often brass) with glass rhinestones/crystals. The stones are not diamonds and the piece is not solid gold unless explicitly stated. Exact composition can vary by collection—please review the photos and contact us if you’d like us to confirm specifics for this necklace.

Q: Are the dangling watch charms functional?
A: Watch charms on Dolce & Gabbana costume necklaces are usually decorative and non‑functional. If any charm is a working timepiece, we will state it clearly. Please review the close‑up images or message us and we’ll confirm for this piece.

Q: What is the length and is it adjustable?
A: Please check the “Perimeter Necklace” measurement on this page and the photos. Many D&G necklaces include an extender chain for some adjustability. If you need the precise wearable range (minimum–maximum length) and pendant/charms drop, contact us and we’ll measure it for you.

Q: How does it fasten?
A: Dolce & Gabbana necklaces commonly use a lobster clasp or spring‑ring, sometimes with an extender chain. Refer to the close‑up photos to see the exact closure on this piece, or message us for confirmation.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on a D&G necklace?
A: Typical signatures include a small plaque or tag stamped “Dolce & Gabbana” (often with “Made in Italy”) or “D&G” depending on era/line. Placement is usually near the clasp or on a hang tag. Stamping varies by season; our listing photos show any markings present on this piece.

Q: Will the plating or rhinestones wear over time?
A: Plated finishes can show light rub or micro‑scratches at high‑contact points. Rhinestones may dull if exposed to moisture, cosmetics or alcohol‑based products. Keep the necklace dry, wipe gently after wear and store individually to help preserve colour and sparkle. Any notable patina or wear is shown in the photos and condition notes.

Q: Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Is it nickel‑free?
A: Vintage and fashion jewellery may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider applying a clear barrier product on contact points or wearing the piece over clothing. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and contact us for guidance.

Q: How should I care for the rhinestones and gold‑tone plating?
A: Avoid water, perfume, lotions, hairspray and hand sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; use a dry cotton bud to remove dust around stone settings. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips. Store flat or in a pouch/box to prevent tangling and scratches.

Q: Can it be repaired, resized, extended or replated?
A: A competent jeweller can often add a short extender chain, replace a clasp, reset/replace rhinestones and adjust charm attachments. Replating may be possible but can affect originality and resale value. Brand service for costume jewellery is at Dolce & Gabbana’s discretion and varies by boutique. We don’t perform in‑house modifications but can recommend reputable specialists on request.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included and can I return it?
A: Gentle vintage wear may be present unless stated otherwise. Please review the condition notes and high‑resolution photos. Only accessories specifically shown or listed (e.g., box/pouch) are included. Returns are accepted in line with our policy—see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same state received.
