Louis VuittonEclipse Coin Purse

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Eclipse Coin Purse?
A: Despite its slim profile (approx. 12 × 6.5 × 0.5 cm), it comfortably carries everyday small essentials such as 4–6 standard cards, folded banknotes, coins and keys. Many people also use it as a minimalist wallet by storing cards and cash inside and attaching keys to the interior chain.

Q: Will a car key fob fit?
A: Compact car key fobs usually fit, but larger or very bulky fobs can be tight. If in doubt, compare your fob to the measurements above. You can also attach a fob to the clip and keep cards or coins inside for a slimmer profile.

Q: What is Monogram Eclipse and when was it introduced?
A: Monogram Eclipse is Louis Vuitton’s black and grey interpretation of the classic Monogram, first introduced in the men’s collection around Autumn/Winter 2016. It offers a more understated, modern look while remaining unisex and easy to style.

Q: Is the canvas durable and water‑resistant?
A: Yes. Louis Vuitton’s coated canvas is known for being hard‑wearing and resistant to light moisture. It’s ideal for daily use, but avoid prolonged exposure to water and overpacking, which can stress the seams and zip.

Q: How should I care for it?
A: Wipe the canvas gently with a soft, slightly damp, lint‑free cloth and dry immediately. Avoid alcohol‑based products (including hand sanitiser), oils, solvents, or harsh cleaners. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight, and store in a cool, ventilated space when not in use.

Q: Does this piece have a chain and clip?
A: Yes. It includes a small chain with a hook, so you can secure keys inside or clip the purse to a bag D‑ring or belt loop for quick access.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information section on this page. If items such as a box or dust bag are not stated there, they are not included.

Q: Does it have a date code or microchip?
A: Many earlier Louis Vuitton small leather goods feature stamped date codes, while pieces produced from March 2021 onward use embedded microchips instead of visible codes. As this is a vintage item, a stamped date code may be present; if needed, our team can confirm what is present for this specific piece.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi‑point inspection by our specialists, reviewing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and other markers. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional product information on request.
