Louis VuittonEpi Pochette Accessoires Pouch

Q: What typically fits inside this pouch?
A: With approximate measurements of 24 x 13 x 2 cm, this pouch is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, cardholder, keys, lipstick and other slim items. Its profile is compact, so bulkier pieces may make it feel overfilled.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This piece has a short strap with an approximate 15 cm drop, so it sits best tucked under the arm or carried by hand as a pouch. It is not designed to be worn crossbody.

Q: What is Epi leather, and is it durable?
A: Epi is Louis Vuitton’s signature textured leather, known for its structured feel and good resistance to everyday wear. It is generally considered a practical vintage choice, although pre-owned pieces can still show scuffs, corner wear and surface marks over time.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, light-coloured cloth and avoid abrasive surfaces. Keep it away from oils, perfume, hand sanitiser, prolonged sunlight and direct heat, and avoid overfilling it so the shape stays neat. When not in use, store it in a dry, ventilated space inside a soft pouch or dust bag.

Q: Is this a vintage Louis Vuitton piece?
A: Yes. The date code AR 0051 indicates production in May 2001, which places this pouch firmly in the vintage category.

Q: Does the date code prove authenticity on its own?
A: No. Louis Vuitton uses date codes rather than unique serial numbers, and a correct code should support the overall assessment rather than act as the only proof of authenticity. Materials, construction, stamps, hardware and overall consistency are all important.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: According to the product information, the exterior and interior are in very good condition with light traces of use, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with any vintage piece, the photos are the best guide to the exact cosmetic condition.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: No additional items are included with this pouch unless otherwise stated on the product page.
