Louis VuittonEpi Soufflot Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Epi Soufflot Bag?
A: With measurements of approx. 31 x 19 x 14 cm, it works well for daily essentials such as a phone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and similar items. Its rounded silhouette offers useful depth, but it is not ideal for larger tablets or laptops. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This version features dual flat shoulder straps, and the listed strap drop is approx. 20 cm, so it generally sits comfortably on the shoulder for most wearers.

Q: Does it close securely and have internal organisation?
A: Yes. The bag has a top zip closure and a tonal-lined interior with one internal pocket, which is useful for smaller essentials you want to keep easy to reach.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The product information for this listing states that a pouch is included. If you would like confirmation of everything included, please check the product information section on this page.

Q: What are the benefits of Epi leather?
A: Epi leather is prized for its structured feel, textured finish and durability. It is generally more understated than monogram canvas and is often chosen for its resistance to everyday wear while still keeping a polished look.

Q: Does Epi leather scratch easily?
A: Epi leather is generally considered hard-wearing and relatively low-maintenance, which is one reason it remains popular in vintage Louis Vuitton styles. That said, no leather is completely scratch-proof, and deeper scuffs or edge wear can still appear over time on older bags.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Gently wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid oils, perfumes, hand sanitisers and harsh cleaners. Try not to overfill the bag, and store it in a breathable dust bag or other ventilated space to help preserve its shape.

Q: What does the date code MI0965 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this era indicate the place and date of production rather than acting as a unique serial number. MI denotes France, and 0965 indicates June 1995. Date codes are useful, but they should never be relied on alone to confirm authenticity.

Q: What is the condition of this particular bag?
A: According to this listing, the exterior and interior are both in very good condition with light traces of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. As this is a vintage piece, minor signs of age and wear are normal.
