Louis VuittonMonogram Turenne PM Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Turenne PM?
A: With approximate measurements of 23 × 23 × 12 cm, it suits daily essentials: large smartphone, compact or continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft case, earbuds and a small cosmetics pouch. An A5 diary/notebook fits; a small 330–500 ml bottle can lie horizontally. Capacity varies a little with organiser inserts—if you’d like, we can provide a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a tablet or A4 documents?
A: Compact tablets and e‑readers generally fit best; an 11‑inch iPad may fit without a bulky case but can be snug due to the curved zip opening. A4 documents (29.7 × 21 cm) do not lie flat. Share your device’s dimensions and we’ll test the fit for this item.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody and is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes. This piece includes a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap (approx. 53 cm drop on this item) for shoulder or high crossbody wear. The dual rolled handles (approx. 10 cm drop) suit hand or crook‑of‑arm carry. If you’d like photos on‑body or an exact strap‑hole range, just ask.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior like?
A: The Turenne PM has a zip‑top main compartment for everyday security. Inside you’ll find a burgundy fabric lining with three internal slip pockets to organise smaller items.

Q: What materials and hardware does this model use?
A: It’s crafted in Louis Vuitton Monogram coated canvas with natural vachetta (untreated) leather trim and gold‑tone hardware. Coated canvas is light and hard‑wearing; vachetta develops a honey patina with use and is sensitive to water and oils.

Q: How should I care for the vachetta leather and canvas?
A: Keep vachetta away from rain and dark denim to minimise watermarks and colour transfer. If lightly wet, blot (don’t rub) and air‑dry away from heat. Wipe coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately; avoid harsh cleaners or alcohol‑based wipes. Store upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, and avoid hanging by the strap for long periods.

Q: Is the Turenne PM still produced by Louis Vuitton?
A: The Turenne PM is widely found via the pre‑loved market and is not typically listed on Louis Vuitton’s current website. Availability can vary by region and season; the secondary market is the most reliable way to source this model today.

Q: What does the date code MB4196 mean on this bag?
A: “MB” denotes manufacture in France. For codes used circa 2007–2021, the first and third digits indicate the week and the second and fourth indicate the year—so “4196” = 49th week of 2016. From 2021 onwards, Louis Vuitton transitioned away from visible date codes to embedded microchips, but earlier pieces like this correctly feature a date code.

Q: What accessories are included with this listing?
A: Everything included is listed under Accessories. For this piece we note: detachable shoulder strap. If a dust bag, box or other items aren’t mentioned, they aren’t included—contact us if you’d like us to confirm anything specific.

Q: How is authenticity guaranteed?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, examining materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, date code/microchip era details and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of every piece we sell.
