Louis VuittonRaffia Noé BB Bag

Q: What are the dimensions of the Noé BB and how does it wear?
A: This Noé BB measures approximately 24 × 22 × 15 cm (H × W × D). The adjustable leather strap offers a comfortable drop around 50–55 cm, so it can be worn crossbody or on the shoulder for most frames. The bucket silhouette closes with a leather drawstring.

Q: What typically fits inside this Noé BB?
A: It comfortably holds daily essentials such as a smartphone, compact wallet or cardholder, sunglasses in a soft case, keys, and a small cosmetics pouch. It is not designed for laptops or large tablets; capacity varies by how you pack and the shape of items.

Q: Is the strap removable on this version?
A: This specific piece features a single adjustable leather shoulder strap as listed in the features. It is intended for shoulder or crossbody wear and is not described as detachable on this item.

Q: Is ‘Made in Madagascar’ authentic for Louis Vuitton raffia bags?
A: Yes. Louis Vuitton’s recent raffia editions use natural raffia handworked by artisans in Madagascar, paired with leather trims crafted by the Maison. A Madagascar origin label is consistent with this craft story.

Q: How should I care for the raffia exterior?
A: Raffia is a natural fibre that prefers dry, gentle use. Avoid rain and high humidity, keep it away from rough surfaces and sharp jewellery, and store it away from direct sunlight. For minor marks, lightly dust with a soft brush or cloth; if it becomes damp, blot and allow to air-dry naturally—never use heat.

Q: Any special care for the leather trim and drawstring?
A: The untreated cowhide leather trim (vachetta) will develop a natural patina over time. Keep it away from water, oils, and alcohol-based products. Wipe occasionally with a soft, dry cloth and handle with clean, dry hands to encourage an even patina.

Q: Will the Noé BB keep its shape, or do I need an organiser?
A: The Noé is designed with a softer, relaxed bucket structure and will naturally slouch with wear. If you prefer more structure or extra protection for the interior, a lightweight base shaper or bag organiser can help while keeping weight minimal.

Q: Is this a seasonal piece?
A: Raffia interpretations are typically released in warm‑weather capsules and tend to be seasonal with limited availability. They offer a summery look while keeping the classic Noé functionality.

Q: Does this bag have a date code?
A: Many newer Louis Vuitton pieces (from 2021 onwards) feature an embedded microchip instead of a visible date code. It is normal not to find a stamped code on recent models; authenticity is determined by holistic checks rather than a single marker.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This bag comes with a dust bag as listed under Accessories. Everything included is detailed on this page; if you need clarification, our team is happy to help.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, including materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and, where applicable, microchip/date‑code verification. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional details on request.
