PradaSmall Studded Canapa Bag

Q: What are the measurements and carry options of this bag?
A: Approximate measurements are W 30 × H 19 × D 16 cm, with a 13 cm top-handle drop and an adjustable shoulder strap of about 54 cm. It can be carried by hand, on the shoulder, or crossbody depending on your height and preferred strap length.

Q: What typically fits inside the Small Canapa?
A: It comfortably holds daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and a small tablet (around 11 inches). A4 documents and most 13-inch laptops do not fit; please refer to the measurements above for best results.

Q: How secure is the opening?
A: The bag has an open top with side snap buttons that allow you to slightly expand or cinch the opening. For added organisation and security, place valuables in the interior zip pocket or use a slim bag organiser.

Q: Is the canvas durable and how should I care for it?
A: The Canapa is crafted from sturdy canvas designed for regular use. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth after wear, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and heat, and store it loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag. For small marks, spot clean sparingly with a little mild soap and water on a white cloth, then air-dry—never soak or machine-wash. For anything more significant, contact Prada Client Service for advice or repairs.

Q: Are the studs delicate?
A: The studs are riveted and secure for everyday use, but like all hardware, they can pick up light surface scratches. Avoid rubbing against abrasive surfaces and, if a stud loosens, consult Prada for case-by-case repairs.

Q: Can the strap be removed or replaced?
A: Yes. The shoulder strap is detachable, so you can carry it by hand or attach a compatible strap with similar clips. Ensure any replacement strap is sturdy and do not overload the bag.

Q: Is the colour prone to transfer or fading?
A: As with most dyed canvas, avoid prolonged sunlight and contact with dark or untreated textiles to minimise colour transfer or fading. If the bag gets wet, blot gently and allow it to dry naturally away from direct heat.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything that comes with the bag is listed in the product information on this page. For this listing, a detachable shoulder strap is included. If an item such as a dust bag or card is not listed in the product information, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously checked by our in‑house experts using multi‑point inspections of materials, stitching, hardware and brand markings. Note that while some new-season Prada items feature Aura Blockchain/NFC technology for verification, many vintage pieces like this Canapa predate those features.
