PradaTessuto Backpack

Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Tessuto Backpack?
A: With approximate measurements of 36 × 30 × 14 cm, it comfortably holds A4 paperwork or a notebook, a water bottle, compact umbrella, long wallet, phone, small cosmetics pouch and chargers. The two front zipped pockets are ideal for keys and travel cards, while the internal zipped pocket secures valuables.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: Most 13‑inch laptops and some slim 14‑inch models fit when placed vertically or in a slim sleeve. Larger 15‑inch devices are generally too wide for a comfortable fit. There is no padded laptop compartment, so we recommend using a protective sleeve and comparing your device’s dimensions to the measurements listed above.

Q: Is Prada’s Tessuto nylon water‑resistant?
A: Yes, Tessuto nylon is known for its tightly woven, durable, water‑resistant finish that copes well with light rain and splashes. However, prolonged exposure to heavy rain isn’t advised and the leather trim is not waterproof. If the bag gets wet, wipe it down and allow it to air‑dry naturally away from heat.

Q: How should I clean and care for the nylon and leather trim?
A: For the nylon, wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, then wipe again with clean water and let it air‑dry. Avoid soaking or machine‑washing. For the leather trim, use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly and avoid harsh chemicals. For stubborn marks or colour transfer, consult a professional bag care service.

Q: How durable is Tessuto nylon?
A: Tessuto is Prada’s signature double‑woven nylon, prized for being lightweight yet robust for everyday use. In practice, most wear on vintage pieces appears first on leather edges and trim rather than the nylon body, so sensible packing and storage will help maintain its condition.

Q: What are the closure and pocket details on this backpack?
A: It secures with a drawstring under a buckle flap. There are two zipped pockets on the front for quick‑access items and one internal zipped pocket to keep essentials safe.

Q: Are the straps adjustable and comfortable for daily wear?
A: Yes, the shoulder straps are adjustable to tailor the fit, and there is a top handle for easy grab‑and‑go. For balanced carry, adjust both straps to the same length and avoid over‑loading the bag.

Q: Is this style unisex and suitable for commuting or travel?
A: The minimalist black nylon and practical layout make it a popular unisex choice. Its light weight and organised pockets suit daily commuting and light travel.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under Accessories. For this piece, no accessories are included.

Q: How do you authenticate this Prada backpack?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, plaques and interior labels. Authentic Prada hallmarks typically include crisp, centred logo lettering with “Milano” and “Dal 1913”, uniform silver‑tone hardware, and quality branded zips. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
