PradaTessuto Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the PRADA Tessuto Shoulder Bag?
A: With dimensions of approximately 26 × 10 × 6 cm, it’s ideal for daily essentials: a smartphone, compact wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, and slim sunglasses in a soft case. Due to the 10 cm height, long continental wallets and tablets generally do not fit comfortably. Please refer to the Measurements on this page or contact us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will my iPhone Pro/Max fit?
A: Most modern smartphones fit; larger Pro/Max models with bulky cases may be snug because of the slim 10 cm height. Compare your phone’s dimensions with our Measurements or ask us to verify the fit against this specific bag.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable? Can I wear it crossbody?
A: The single flat shoulder strap is not adjustable. With a 30 cm drop, it’s designed for shoulder carry and typically sits fairly high; it’s not intended for crossbody wear on most users. If you’d like us to confirm how it sits on the body, just ask.

Q: How secure is the closure and what pockets does it have?
A: This bag features a magnetic top closure for convenient everyday security and a single interior open pocket for quick‑access items. For added peace of mind when commuting, keep smaller valuables in a compact zip pouch inside the bag.

Q: What is PRADA Tessuto nylon and is it durable?
A: Tessuto is PRADA’s signature woven nylon—lightweight, tough and abrasion‑resistant, making it excellent for daily use. It holds shape well yet remains flexible. As with all textiles, avoid sharp edges that could snag and prolonged exposure to moisture or intense sunlight.

Q: How should I care for the nylon and patent leather trim?
A: Wipe nylon gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth; for marks, use a mild soap solution sparingly and test on a discreet area first. For black patent leather trim, buff fingerprints with a clean microfibre cloth and avoid solvents or alcohol‑based cleaners. Be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim onto the pastel pink nylon and patent leather.

Q: Is it water‑resistant? What if it gets wet?
A: Tessuto nylon offers good everyday water resistance but isn’t fully waterproof. If the bag gets wet, blot (don’t rub) with a soft cloth and allow it to air‑dry away from heat sources. Avoid heavy rain, and store the bag dry and lightly stuffed to maintain its structure.

Q: Where are the brand markings located, and how do you authenticate?
A: Authentic PRADA bags typically feature an interior logo plaque and a “Made in Italy” stamp; details can vary by era. Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and overall construction. We’re happy to share close‑up photos or further details on request.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This piece is delivered with no accessories. Anything included (e.g., dust bag) is always listed under “Accessories.” If you don’t see an accessory mentioned there, it isn’t included—feel free to contact us for confirmation.

Q: Is this style still produced, and is this bag vintage?
A: PRADA continues to release Tessuto nylon shoulder bags in various iterations, but specific vintage colourways and configurations—like this pastel pink edition—are no longer available in boutiques. This is a vintage, pre‑loved piece made in Italy, and the pre‑loved market is the best way to source similar styles.
