Saint LaurentYves St. Tropez Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Saint Laurent Yves St. Tropez Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 29 x 22 x 2 cm, this slim shoulder bag is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, keys, a card holder or slim wallet, sunglasses and a few small beauty items. Because the profile is quite flat, bulkier items are unlikely to fit comfortably.

Q: Can this bag be worn comfortably on the shoulder?
A: Yes. With an approximate strap drop of 25 cm, it is designed to sit comfortably on the shoulder and works well as an easy day-to-evening shoulder bag.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: This bag has a magnetic snap closure. It offers quick access to your essentials, but as with many soft shoulder bags, it is best not to overfill it or leave valuables loose near the top.

Q: What are the main design details of this bag?
A: This piece features black ruffled leather, gold-tone hardware, a single leather shoulder strap and black lining. Its ruffled St. Tropez silhouette gives it a distinctive vintage Saint Laurent look.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in very good condition. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: Does this item come with anything extra?
A: No. The current product information states that this item comes with no additional extras included.

Q: Is this a good everyday bag?
A: It is best described as a light everyday or day-to-evening bag. It comfortably carries essentials, but the slim depth means it is not ideal for larger items, heavier loads or bulkier tech.

Q: How should I care for the leather and ruffled finish?
A: For routine care, gently wipe the bag with a soft dry cloth and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight. Light stuffing can help maintain the shape, and a specialist leather professional is the safest option for deeper cleaning or conditioning on vintage pieces.

Q: How is authenticity handled for this bag?
A: At A Retro Tale, all items are checked and verified by experts before sale. For vintage Saint Laurent bags, authentication typically involves reviewing the materials, construction, hardware, stamps and other identifying details.
