Q: What is the chain length and how will it sit on me?
A: This necklace measures approximately 42 cm in length and typically sits at the collarbone on most necks. Many Return to Tiffany Double Heart pendants are sold on a 16 inch chain; if you prefer a longer drop, you can add a small extender or swap to a longer chain.

Q: What is it made from?
A: The pendant and chain are crafted in sterling silver (.925) with a spring ring clasp. Authentic Tiffany sterling silver pieces usually carry Tiffany & Co. and 925 hallmarks; hallmark style can vary by market and era.

Q: What are the pendant dimensions?
A: The heart tag pendant measures approximately 1.5 cm across and 0.5 cm in depth, as noted in the Measurements. Please allow for minor variation due to the design and how measurements are taken.

Q: Is it suitable for everyday wear and can I get it wet?
A: It is suitable for daily wear, but we recommend removing it before bathing, swimming (especially in chlorinated pools or the sea), exercising or applying perfumes and lotions, as moisture and chemicals can hasten tarnish and dull the finish.

Q: Does sterling silver tarnish and how should I clean it?
A: Sterling silver naturally develops tarnish over time. Clean gently with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly, then polish with a quality silver polishing cloth. Avoid abrasive or dip-style cleaners, and store it dry in an anti-tarnish pouch or lined box.

Q: Is the chain adjustable?
A: The original chain is a fixed length with a spring ring clasp. You can shorten slightly by fastening to a different link; for more flexibility, use a small extender or replace the chain with a longer Tiffany chain to suit your preferred drop.

Q: Can this pendant be engraved?
A: Some Return to Tiffany pendants are eligible for personalisation when purchased from Tiffany. For pre-owned pieces, engraving may be offered at Tiffany’s discretion depending on the specific model and condition. A Retro Tale does not provide engraving services on this item.

Q: Can Tiffany service this item?
A: Yes. Tiffany boutiques offer professional cleaning, repairs and fit alterations; sterling silver cleanings are available for a fee. As this is a pre-owned piece, any service would be arranged directly with Tiffany.

Q: How do you authenticate this necklace?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in-house experts with multi‑point checks of materials, hallmarks, engraving fonts and finishing. Please note Tiffany & Co. does not offer an external authentication service for items not purchased directly from them.

Q: What is included with this purchase?
A: This listing is sold as shown with no accessories such as a box or pouch. Everything included is always stated under Accessories on this page.
