CelineBoogie Bag

Q: What are the measurements of this Céline Boogie Bag?
A: Approximately 33 cm (W) × 20 cm (H) × 14 cm (D) with a handle drop of about 10 cm. Please see the Measurements section on this page for the exact figures for this piece.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The bag has an open-top construction with a central zipped compartment that divides the interior into two sections. There are also two easy-access slip pockets on the outside for small items.

Q: Does it come with a shoulder strap or have strap attachments?
A: The classic Boogie is designed as a handheld top-handle bag and does not come with a shoulder strap. This piece is best carried by hand or in the crook of the arm.

Q: What typically fits inside?
A: Daily essentials such as a long wallet, smartphone, keys, sunglasses case, a small cosmetics pouch, and an A5 notebook or e-reader fit comfortably. It is not designed for bulkier tech or heavy loads.

Q: Will it fit A4 documents or a 13-inch laptop?
A: No. With a height of about 20 cm, A4 documents and most 13-inch laptops are too large. Slim tablets or notebooks up to A5 size are a better fit.

Q: How secure is the open top?
A: The open-top design allows quick access, while the central zipped compartment provides a secure place for valuables. For added organisation, you can use a lightweight bag organiser insert.

Q: What is the material and hardware on this bag?
A: This piece is crafted in black leather with contrast white stitching and finished with silver-tone hardware, offering a structured look with everyday durability.

Q: When was the Boogie popular and where was it made?
A: The Boogie became a Céline favourite in the early 2000s and many examples, including this one, were made in Italy.

Q: Is there a serial number and where might I find it?
A: Many Boogie bags from this era have an internal leather tab with a Céline code (often a combination of letters/numbers). It is typically found along the interior seam or near a pocket. Exact placement can vary by batch and year.

Q: What is included with my purchase?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information on this page. If an item such as a dust bag or authentication card is not listed there, it is not included. As always, feel free to contact us for confirmation.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly authenticated by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, and brand stamps/codes. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: How should I care for the leather and contrast stitching?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh cleaners, oils, or prolonged exposure to sunlight and moisture. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust cover to maintain its shape and keep the stitching clean.
