CelineSea Life Charm Bracelet

Q: Is this Céline Charm Bracelet authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What materials is it made from? Is it solid gold and is the pearl real?
A: Vintage Céline costume jewellery is typically crafted from gold‑tone plated base metal, with charms that may include glass, resin or faux pearls. It is not solid gold unless explicitly stated, and the pearl is usually imitation rather than natural. Please review the photos and contact us if you’d like us to confirm the specific composition for this bracelet.

Q: What is the size and will it fit my wrist?
A: The listed perimeter is approximately 16 cm and the bracelet width is about 2 cm. For comfort, measure your wrist snugly and add around 1–1.5 cm. A 16 cm bracelet generally suits slimmer wrists; a jeweller can add a short extender if you need more room. If you’d like the precise wearable range or individual charm measurements, message us and we’ll provide them.

Q: How does it fasten and are the charms secure or removable?
A: It features a lobster clasp closure. On vintage Céline charm bracelets, charms are typically fixed to the chain and not designed to be removed or rearranged. Please check the close‑up photos to see the attachments for the pearl, shell and ship’s wheel charms, or contact us for confirmation.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on a vintage Céline bracelet?
A: Many vintage Céline pieces are stamped CELINE or CELINE PARIS, sometimes with a country of origin such as Made in France/Italy and, depending on era, a season code. Placement varies (on a plaque, link or clasp), and some early pieces may lack plaques. Our listing photos show any stamps present on this bracelet.

Q: Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Is it nickel‑free?
A: Vintage and fashion jewellery may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider using a clear barrier product on contact points or wearing the piece for shorter periods. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and contact us for guidance.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone plating and the pearl charm?
A: Keep it dry and away from perfume, lotions, hairspray and sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; use a dry cotton bud to remove dust around charm settings. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips, and avoid abrasive cloths. Store individually in a pouch or box to prevent scratches and preserve colour and lustre.

Q: Will the finish tarnish or fade with wear? Can it be replated or polished?
A: Plated finishes can show light surface wear over time, especially at high‑contact points such as the clasp and charm edges. A competent jeweller can perform light polishing and, in some cases, replating; note that alterations may affect originality and resale value. We don’t offer in‑house modifications but can recommend reputable specialists on request.

Q: Can it be resized or extended? Can the clasp be replaced?
A: A jeweller can usually add a short extender chain, adjust length slightly or replace a lobster clasp like‑for‑like. We don’t modify items in‑house; please contact us if you’d like referrals to trusted jewellers.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return it?
A: This piece is in good vintage condition with gentle wear consistent with age (e.g., minor micro‑scratches or light plating rub). Only accessories specifically shown or listed are included; this bracelet comes with no accessories. Returns are accepted in line with our policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility and timeframes, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
