CelineMedium Leopard Pony Hair Box Bag

Q: What are the measurements and what fits inside?
A: The Medium Classic Box measures approximately 24 × 18 × 7 cm. It comfortably fits daily essentials such as a long wallet, smartphone, keys, compact sunglasses case and small cosmetics. Based on these measurements, an A5 notebook or a slim iPad mini can also fit, though bulky cases may limit space—please refer to the Measurements on this page for certainty.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody and is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes. This piece has a single, adjustable, detachable strap with an approximate drop of 45 cm at its longest, allowing both shoulder and crossbody wear on many frames. You can shorten the drop using the adjustment holes for a neater shoulder carry.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The interior is lined in brown leather and includes two main compartments and one internal zip pocket, making it easy to separate essentials like a phone, wallet and keys.

Q: What exactly is “pony hair” and is it real pony?
A: In luxury leather goods, “pony hair” refers to hair‑on calf leather (cowhide) with the hair left intact. It delivers a tactile, patterned finish—here in a leopard print—while the base is genuine leather.

Q: How should I care for the leopard pony hair exterior?
A: Avoid prolonged friction (especially against rough fabrics like denim), moisture and oils. If needed, gently brush in the direction of the hair with a clean, soft brush or wipe lightly with a barely damp cloth. Do not use leather conditioners on the hair side. Store the bag loosely stuffed, in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and avoid pressing the hair under heavy items.

Q: Will the hair shed or go bald over time?
A: Some gradual hair loss on corners and high‑rub areas is normal with wear on hair‑on hides. Rotation, mindful use (avoiding repeated abrasion) and proper storage will slow this and keep the finish looking its best.

Q: How does the push‑lock work and will the hardware scratch?
A: Press to release and snap to close. As with most polished hardware, light surface scratches can develop with normal use. To minimise this, open and close the lock carefully and buff gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Q: Does this bag have a serial number or date code?
A: Many Céline bags feature date codes rather than unique serial numbers, and their placement varies by model and year. These codes are not unique identifiers. Absence of an easily visible code is not, by itself, a red flag—our team authenticates every piece using a multi‑point inspection of materials, stamping, stitching and hardware.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. For this piece, the detachable shoulder strap is included. If an item like a dust bag or card is not listed, it is not included.

Q: Can I use a different strap with this bag?
A: Yes, the strap is detachable, so a compatible replacement or alternative strap can be used. To protect the finish, choose quality hardware that fits the existing rings and avoid overly heavy chains that could mark the leather or hardware.
