Q: What size is this Chanel 2.55 Reissue Hanger Suede Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 20 x 16 x 6 cm, making it a compact shoulder bag that is well suited to daily essentials rather than bulkier items.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With its compact proportions, it should comfortably hold a phone, keys, cards, lipstick, and other small essentials. A slim wallet may fit, but larger purses or bulky items are likely to take up most of the space. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This style features a chain shoulder strap with an approximate drop of 50 cm. For most people, it is best suited to shoulder wear, while crossbody fit will depend on height and personal preference.

Q: What are the main features of this bag?
A: This piece is crafted in beige quilted suede with a black hanger detail, gold-tone hardware, a chain shoulder strap, black leather lining, and a turn-lock flap closure.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in very good condition overall. The exterior shows some scratches on the hardware and scuffed corners, while the interior has light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What product information is included with the bag?
A: According to the product information, this item includes a serial number sticker. If any other item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Is this an authentic Chanel 2.55 Reissue style?
A: The Chanel 2.55 is known for signature details such as quilted construction, a flat-link chain strap, and the Mademoiselle turn-lock closure rather than the interlocking CC clasp. This bag also includes a serial number sticker, and all items sold by A Retro Tale are authenticated by in-house experts.

Q: How should I care for a vintage suede Chanel bag?
A: Suede should be handled with extra care. Avoid rain, prolonged humidity, direct sunlight, and contact with dark or colour-transfer fabrics. Store the bag upright, lightly stuffed, and protected when not in use. For surface dust, use a soft dry cloth or a suede brush very gently, and avoid harsh cleaning products.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin listed for this piece is France.

Q: What does “2.55 Reissue” mean?
A: The 2.55 refers to Chanel’s original handbag design introduced in February 1955. The Reissue version pays tribute to that original style, and it is especially recognised for its understated look and signature Mademoiselle lock.
