Q: Is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes. This bag has an adjustable strap with a measurement of 39. This allows you to tailor the drop for a more comfortable fit depending on how you prefer to wear a messenger-style bag.

Q: What are the benefits of Chanel caviar leather?
A: Chanel caviar leather is widely loved for its textured, grained finish and practical durability. Compared with smoother leathers, it is generally more resistant to visible scratches and everyday wear, making it a popular choice for vintage Chanel bags intended for regular use.

Q: How should I care for this bag?
A: To help preserve the leather and shape, wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid overfilling it, and keep it away from prolonged moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. When not in use, store it loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag and avoid pressing it against dark or rough fabrics that may cause colour transfer or rubbing.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This bag includes an authenticity card and serial number tag. Everything included with the item is listed under product information. If something is not mentioned there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Is this bag authenticated?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully inspected for authenticity by in-house experts. For Chanel pieces, this typically includes reviewing construction, leather, hardware, branding details, and serial-era indicators alongside the overall quality of the piece.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This item is graded Very Good Condition. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with all vintage bags, minor signs of wear are normal and form part of the character of a pre-owned piece.

Q: Is this bag made in France?
A: Yes. According to the product data, this bag is made in France, which is consistent with many vintage Chanel leather bags from this era.

Q: Does the authenticity card guarantee authenticity on its own?
A: No. While the included authenticity card and serial number tag are important supporting details for a vintage Chanel bag, experienced authentication always considers the full item, including materials, workmanship, hardware, stamps, and era-specific construction details.
