ChanelPatent Vanity Chain Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel Patent Vanity Chain Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 13 x 11 x 14 cm, it is best suited to small essentials such as cards, folded notes, keys, lipstick, AirPods and other compact items. It is more of an essentials or occasion bag than an everyday carry-all, so we recommend checking the measurements on this page against the items you plan to carry.

Q: Will a phone fit inside?
A: Most modern smartphones are likely to be too tall for this size. Smaller compact items fit best, so it is worth comparing your phone’s exact measurements with the bag dimensions before purchasing.

Q: How is this bag carried?
A: This piece features a single chain top handle with an approximate 15 cm drop. It is designed to be carried by hand or at the crook of the arm rather than worn as a long shoulder or crossbody style.

Q: Is patent leather difficult to care for?
A: Patent leather has a glossy finish but it is still delicate. It can show surface marks more easily than some grained leathers and should be kept away from prolonged contact with dark fabrics, excess heat and direct sunlight. For routine care, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and store it carefully when not in use.

Q: What condition details should I know about this specific bag?
A: This bag is listed in very good condition. The patent leather shows visible marks, the hardware remains shiny with light scratches, and the interior mirror is blacked out. The lining is otherwise noted as being in very good condition.

Q: What does the serial number indicate?
A: The bag includes a serial number, and this 22-series piece dates to approximately 2016 to 2017. On pre-owned Chanel bags, the serial sticker is one helpful indicator of age and authenticity when assessed alongside the materials, construction and hardware details.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The listed product information shows the serial number as included. If an authenticity card, box, dust bag or other extras are not specifically listed in the product information, they should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How do you authenticate Chanel bags?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is inspected by in-house experts using multi-point checks that consider materials, stitching, hardware, serial details and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of the items we sell.
