FendiPequin Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Fendi Pequin Tote Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 27 x 24 x 20 cm, this tote is well suited to daily essentials such as a wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys, a small cosmetic pouch, and a compact water bottle. It can also accommodate smaller extras like a notebook or mini umbrella, but it is not likely to suit most laptops. Please refer to the measurements on this page for the best sense of scale.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: This piece has a handle drop of approximately 12 cm. It is primarily suited to hand carry, though some may be able to wear it over the shoulder with lighter layers depending on personal preference and frame.

Q: Is the Fendi Pequin a classic style?
A: Yes. The Pequin stripe is one of Fendi’s recognisable archival motifs and is especially popular in vintage pieces. Its striped design gives the bag a timeless look that works well for everyday use while still feeling distinctly designer.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This bag is in very good condition. The exterior shows minor wear and rubbing on the corners and piping, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As this is a vintage item, gentle signs of wear are normal and part of its character.

Q: What accessories are included with this bag?
A: According to the product information, this item includes a dust bag. If any additional accessory is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Fendi Pequin tote?
A: Vintage Pequin bags are often appreciated for their durable coated canvas style construction with leather trim. To care for a piece like this, wipe it gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid harsh cleaners or oils, keep it away from prolonged moisture and direct heat, and store it in its dust bag when not in use. Lightly stuffing the bag can also help it keep its shape.

Q: How can I check whether a vintage Fendi bag is authentic?
A: Authenticity should never be judged by one detail alone. Vintage Fendi bags may feature a serial number or code on an interior leather tag or within an inner pocket area, but the code by itself is not enough to confirm authenticity. Materials, stitching, hardware, branding details, and overall construction should all be assessed together. A Retro Tale authenticates all items before sale.

Q: Is this a practical everyday vintage tote?
A: Yes. Its medium tote shape, sturdy top handles, and compact-but-roomy proportions make it a practical option for everyday outings, shopping, lunch dates, or carrying daily essentials in a polished vintage style.
