Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: Thanks to its vertical tote shape, it is well suited to daily essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, cosmetics pouch, water bottle, and documents. It may also suit a tablet or slim laptop if the dimensions work for your device. We recommend comparing your own items to the listed measurements before purchase.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: The 14 cm handle drop means it can often be carried by hand or slipped over the shoulder, depending on your frame and what you are wearing. If you usually wear heavier coats or prefer a longer drop, please compare the handle measurement carefully before buying.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap or any extras?
A: No. This specific item has no accessories included. If you are checking for extras, please rely on the product information shown on this page, as that reflects exactly what is included with this piece.

Q: What does the Square H (2004) stamp mean?
A: The Square H stamp is the Hermès date stamp for 2004. It helps identify the production year of the bag and is one of the details collectors often look for when assessing vintage Hermès pieces.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This bag is listed in Very Good Condition overall. The exterior shows light traces of use, the interior is also in very good condition with light signs of wear, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: Is the Garden Party 36 a good everyday or work bag?
A: Yes, the Garden Party 36 is popular for everyday use because of its practical tote format and understated design. This vertical version is especially useful if you like a taller silhouette for documents and daily essentials. Do keep in mind that tote styles like this are best for easy access rather than maximum security.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Hermès bag?
A: To help preserve it, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid overfilling it. Keep it away from prolonged sunlight, heat, moisture, and rough surfaces. When not in use, store it upright and lightly stuffed so it can hold its shape more beautifully over time.

Q: Is this bag authenticated?
A: Yes. At A Retro Tale, all items are carefully inspected and authenticated by experts before being offered for sale. For a vintage Hermès bag, this includes checking details such as materials, construction, hardware, stamping, and overall consistency.
