HermèsKnitted Cashmere Beanie

Q: What size is this beanie and how does size L fit?
A: Size L suits medium-to-large head sizes or anyone who prefers a roomier, slightly slouchy fit. The knit has natural stretch and the ribbed cuff helps it stay in place. For reference, this piece measures about 22 cm wide by 21 cm high; measuring your head circumference and comparing with your usual beanies is the best guide.

Q: Is this Hermès beanie unisex?
A: Yes. The classic shape and neutral beige colour work well on most head shapes and styles, making it easy to wear across wardrobes.

Q: Where is it made?
A: Hermès cashmere beanies are commonly crafted in Italy; this specific piece is labelled Made in Italy.

Q: How warm is a cashmere beanie compared with wool?
A: Cashmere offers excellent warmth without bulk thanks to its fine, lofty fibres. Overall warmth depends on knit density and ply: denser knits feel warmer, while looser knits breathe more for milder days.

Q: Will cashmere pill, and how do I deal with it?
A: Some light pilling is normal with soft natural fibres, especially early on and in high-friction areas. Remove pills gently with a cashmere comb or fabric shaver, sweeping in one direction—never pull them off.

Q: How should I wash and dry it?
A: Always follow the care label. If hand washing is permitted, use cool water and a wool/cashmere detergent, gently squeeze (do not wring), rinse well, then reshape and dry flat away from heat and sunlight. If the label states dry clean only, use a trusted professional cleaner.

Q: How should I store a cashmere beanie between seasons?
A: Store it clean, folded and completely dry in a breathable bag or box with natural moth deterrents such as cedar. Avoid hanging, which can stretch knits. Keep away from damp and direct light.

Q: Will it stretch or shrink over time?
A: Knitted cashmere has a little natural give and may relax slightly with wear. To maintain its shape, avoid over-stretching, wash sparingly, and always dry flat. Heat or rough agitation can cause shrinkage or distortion.

Q: Can I wear it in light rain or snow?
A: Brief moisture is fine, but avoid soaking. If it gets wet, gently blot, reshape and let it air-dry flat away from direct heat—never tumble-dry.
