Louis VuittonMonogram Cosmetic Pouch

Q: What can this pouch hold day to day?
A: With measurements of approximately 17 × 11 × 6 cm, it comfortably organises daily beauty essentials such as a compact, lipstick, mascara, blotting papers, and a small hand cream or sanitiser. Some standard smartphones up to around 6.1 inches may fit horizontally without a bulky case, but the curved zip opening means fit can vary—please compare your device to the listed Measurements.

Q: Is the interior lining washable and easy to clean?
A: Yes. Louis Vuitton’s Cosmetic Pouch is designed with a washable textile lining. Wipe spills promptly with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow to air-dry. Avoid alcohol-based wipes or harsh cleaners, which can damage the lining and leather trim.

Q: What’s the difference between the Cosmetic Pouch and the Toiletry Pouch sizes?
A: The Cosmetic Pouch PM is a compact, rounded organiser intended for make-up and small daily items, while Toiletry Pouches (e.g., 19 or 26) are larger and more rectangular, offering more capacity and a wider opening—better for travel-sized toiletries. Choose based on how much you carry and the bag you’ll place it in.

Q: Can I use this as a small clutch?
A: It is designed as a pouch with a zip-top and no strap attachments, but many users carry it by hand as a minimalist clutch for keys, cards, a phone, and a lipstick. For everyday use, most prefer it inside a handbag as an organiser.

Q: Is Monogram canvas real leather and is it water-resistant?
A: Louis Vuitton Monogram is a coated canvas that is lightweight and water-resistant. The trim and zipper pull are natural cowhide (vachetta) leather, which will patinate and is sensitive to water and oils—avoid rain and contact with hand creams or sanitisers on the leather parts.

Q: How should I care for this vintage pouch?
A: For canvas, wipe with a clean, damp, lint-free cloth and dry immediately. Keep vachetta leather dry and avoid conditioners or solvents. Store loosely stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity to preserve shape and colour.

Q: Does this item have a date code or a microchip?
A: Many vintage pieces include a heat-stamped date code on a small tab or along an interior seam. Louis Vuitton gradually replaced visible date codes with embedded microchips from March 2021, so recent items may not have a visible code. Either way, our in-house experts authenticate every piece using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, and stamps.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. For this specific piece, no additional items are listed; if a dust bag or box is not mentioned in the product information, it is not included.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: This pouch is labelled as made in Spain in the product information. Louis Vuitton produces this model in several countries, so stamping may vary by individual item.

Q: Will it stand upright on a dressing table?
A: Yes. The rounded shape with a flat base is designed to sit upright, making it easy to see and reach contents when open.
