Louis VuittonMonogram Sunset Denim Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Sunset Denim Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 26 × 17 × 3 cm, it comfortably holds a 6.7-inch smartphone, a long wallet, keys and a few small essentials like lip balm or a compact. Capacity varies by packing; the interior includes a flat slip pocket for cards or receipts.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody as well as on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The detachable strap on this piece has an approximate drop of 49 cm, which allows most people to wear it on the shoulder and many to wear it crossbody. Fit will vary by height and preferred strap length.

Q: Is this a vintage model or a current collection piece?
A: This listing is for a vintage Louis Vuitton Sunset in Monogram denim with pink tones. Louis Vuitton has recently reintroduced the Sunset silhouette in its modern denim and monogram collections, so you may see contemporary versions in boutiques, but this item is a pre-owned vintage example.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. For this piece, the product information notes box, dust bag and detachable shoulder strap.

Q: How should I care for the denim exterior and vachetta leather trim?
A: Keep the bag dry, avoid oils/chemicals, and wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth for the denim if needed. Natural vachetta is sensitive to water and will develop a patina; if it gets wet, blot immediately with a light, lint-free cloth. Store stuffed to maintain shape, in its dust bag, away from sunlight and humidity.

Q: Is colour transfer a risk with the pink denim or light leather?
A: As with most light colours and natural leathers, contact with dark or highly pigmented materials (like new denim) can transfer colour. Likewise, dyed textiles may transfer onto very light clothing. Minimise prolonged rubbing against such fabrics and avoid exposure to magazines or other dyed materials when storing.

Q: Does it fit an iPad mini or small tablet?
A: An iPad mini (approx. 19.5 cm in height) does not fit due to the bag’s height of about 17 cm. Slim e-readers under 17 cm tall may fit, but the bag is designed for compact daily essentials rather than tablets.

Q: Is the strap adjustable?
A: This example includes a detachable shoulder strap. Adjustment can vary by production run; please refer to the photos and the strap measurement provided (approx. 49 cm drop) to gauge how it will sit on you.

Q: How do you authenticate this item, and will there be a date code?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, hardware and stamps. Many Louis Vuitton bags made before 2021 feature a date code; newer pieces may use an embedded microchip instead. If a readable date code is present on this vintage item, our team can share it on request—its presence or absence is only one factor in authentication.

Q: Where was this particular piece made?
A: The label for this item states France. Please note that authentic Louis Vuitton handbags can be produced in several countries depending on the collection and period.
