MIU MIUVelvet Scrunchie

Q: Is the faux pearl charm detachable and how should I use it safely?
A: Yes. The charm is detachable so you can switch between a minimal look and a more decorative finish. For active days or when wearing delicate knits, consider removing it to avoid snagging. When attaching, ensure the clasp is fully closed; when storing, keep the charm facing away from the velvet pile to prevent imprints and keep hardware dry.

Q: Will a velvet scrunchie damage or crease my hair?
A: Scrunchies are generally gentler than thin elastics because the fabric-covered band disperses tension and reduces friction, helping to minimise breakage and dents. Velvet’s plush surface is comfortable for everyday wear; for the least creasing, avoid tying too tightly and vary your ponytail placement.

Q: How should I clean this velvet scrunchie?
A: Spot clean only. Dab marks with a soft, damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent, then blot. Do not soak, wring or tumble dry. Allow it to air dry away from direct heat and sunlight. Once dry, lightly brush the nap in one direction to revive the pile. Keep the faux pearl and metal hardware as dry as possible.

Q: Can I wear it in the rain, shower or at the gym?
A: It’s best to keep velvet and plated hardware away from water, sweat and cosmetics. Moisture can flatten velvet and may dull or tarnish metal finishes and crystal settings over time. Remove before swimming, showering or intense workouts and let it air out after wear.

Q: Might the yellow colour transfer onto clothing?
A: As with many richly coloured textiles, slight dye transfer can occur if the scrunchie becomes damp or rubs repeatedly against light fabrics. Keep it dry, avoid rain and humidity, and don’t store it in contact with pale garments until completely dry.

Q: Is it suitable for fine or thick hair?
A: Velvet offers a comfortable, secure grip for most hair types. For fine or freshly styled hair, one to two wraps are usually sufficient. For thick or very curly hair, use two to three wraps, or anchor with a slim elastic first and slide the scrunchie over for added hold and volume.

Q: How should I store it to keep the velvet plush?
A: Store it in its box or a breathable pouch, away from direct sunlight and pressure that could crush the pile. To avoid imprints, detach the charm or position it so it doesn’t press into the velvet. Keep it separate from items that could snag the fabric.
