PradaTessuto Bomber Messenger Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Tessuto Bomber Messenger Bag?
A: With dimensions of approximately 28 cm width and 22 cm height, this bag is a versatile medium-sized carrier. It comfortably fits daily essentials such as a large smartphone, continental wallet, keys, sunglasses case, cosmetics pouch and a small water bottle. It is also sized to hold a standard tablet (e.g., iPad or iPad Air) and an A5 notebook. Due to the width, A4 documents and laptops are generally too large to fit.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: No, this bag is not designed to carry laptops. A standard 13-inch laptop is typically around 30 cm wide, which exceeds the bag’s 28 cm width. It is, however, perfect for carrying tablets or e-readers. We recommend comparing your device’s dimensions with the measurements provided (28 × 22 × 9 cm) for certainty.

Q: Is the strap adjustable and can I wear it crossbody?
A: Yes, the bag features an adjustable shoulder strap. The strap measurement listed for this specific piece is 99 cm. For most wearers, this length allows for comfortable shoulder carry or a shorter, high crossbody style (sitting closer to the waist or chest). If you prefer a lower hanging crossbody bag, we advise checking this length against your preferred fit.

Q: What material is this bag made of?
A: This model belongs to the "Bomber" collection and is crafted from Prada’s signature Tessuto nylon with a quilted, padded finish, complemented by leather trim and silver-tone hardware. The nylon is lightweight, durable and resistant to daily wear, giving the bag a soft, utilitarian-chic aesthetic.

Q: How secure is the closure and what pockets does it have?
A: The main compartment is secured by a flap top with dual buckle closures, providing excellent security for city use. For organization, it features one external zip pocket (ideal for easy access to travel cards or a phone) and one internal zip pocket within the black jacquard lining for valuables.

Q: How should I care for the quilted nylon fabric?
A: Tessuto nylon is durable and low-maintenance. Surface dirt can typically be wiped away with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and be careful not to soak the leather trim. To preserve the puffed "bomber" shape, store the bag lightly stuffed and upright in its dust bag when not in use, and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.

Q: Where is this bag made and how do you authenticate it?
A: This Prada bag is made in Italy. Authentic pieces feature the signature enamel triangle logo on the exterior, quality hardware markings, and an interior tag indicating the country of origin. Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a rigorous multi-point authentication process by our in-house experts to ensure it meets these standards.
