Tiffany & CoHook Bracelet

Q: What materials is this Tiffany & Co Hook Bracelet made from?
A: This vintage bangle is crafted in sterling silver with 18k yellow gold accents. Most examples are stamped inside with the brand name and metal purity marks such as 925 for sterling silver and 750 for 18k gold.

Q: How does the hook‑and‑eye closure work and how should I open it?
A: Support the bangle with one hand and gently release the hook from the eye to open; to close, align and seat the hook fully back into the eye until secure. Avoid flexing or prying the bangle apart—the clasp is intended to open and close only at the hook.

Q: What wrist size will it fit?
A: This piece fits an 18 cm wrist or smaller. As it is a rigid bangle, measure just behind the wrist bone with a flexible tape; if you are close to 18 cm, expect a snug fit, and if you are smaller, it will sit looser.

Q: Can the bracelet be resized?
A: Rigid bangles are often difficult to resize. Tiffany & Co provides altering/resizing services for many styles, but feasibility depends on the specific design; only a professional jeweller should assess and perform any adjustment.

Q: Will the sterling silver tarnish, and how do I clean it?
A: Sterling silver naturally develops tarnish over time. Clean with a soft polishing cloth or a silver‑specific cleaner, rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach and chlorine, which can accelerate tarnishing.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower, pool or at the gym?
A: Tiffany advises removing jewellery before showering or swimming and before using lotions, perfumes or hair products. Moisture, chlorine and cosmetics can dull finishes and speed up tarnish.

Q: How should I store the bracelet?
A: Keep it completely dry and store it separately in a tarnish‑resistant pouch or a lined jewellery box to minimise scratches and slow oxidation.

Q: What comes with this item?
A: This listing includes the bracelet only; no accessories are included.

Q: How do you authenticate this piece?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully authenticated by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, engravings and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
