ChanelCC Medium Diana Flap Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Medium Diana Flap Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 25 x 16 x 7 cm, this medium size is ideal for daily essentials such as a phone, card holder or compact wallet, keys, lipstick, sunglasses and a few small extras. It is best suited to essentials rather than bulkier items, so please use the Measurements on this page as your best guide.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The shoulder strap measures approximately 52 cm. For most people, that makes it most comfortable as a shoulder bag. Depending on your height and styling preference, it may sit too high for a comfortable crossbody fit.

Q: What makes the Diana Flap different from the Classic Flap?
A: The Diana Flap is especially loved for its elegant curved flap with smooth leather trim, quilted leather body, CC turn-lock closure and longer leather-woven chain strap. Many collectors appreciate it as a distinctly vintage Chanel design with a slightly rarer feel than the Classic Flap.

Q: Why is it called the Diana bag?
A: This vintage Chanel style is closely associated with Princess Diana, who was often photographed carrying it. That connection helped make the Diana Flap one of Chanel’s most sought-after vintage bags.

Q: What are the interior details of this bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag features a red leather lining with internal zip and slip pockets. That makes it practical for organising smaller essentials while keeping the elegant vintage look intact.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: The overall condition is rated Very Good. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. As with most vintage bags, gentle signs of age and wear are part of the character of the piece.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This bag comes with a serial number tag. Everything included is listed in the product information, so if another item is not mentioned there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for vintage quilted leather and gold-tone hardware?
A: We recommend storing the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, avoiding overfilling it, and wiping it gently with a soft dry cloth after use. Keep the leather away from water, oils and rough surfaces, and take extra care with the hardware to minimise scratching.

Q: How does the serial number help with a vintage Chanel bag?
A: Chanel vintage bags commonly feature a serial sticker or tag that helps indicate the production era and supports the authentication process. On pre-owned pieces, the serial details should always be considered alongside craftsmanship, materials, hardware and overall construction rather than on their own.

Q: Is this a good choice for everyday use or more occasional wear?
A: This bag works beautifully for both, but its vintage leather construction means many owners prefer to use it for lighter day-to-day wear, lunches, dinners, events and city outings rather than heavy everyday carrying. Its medium size offers good practicality while still feeling refined and elegant.
