ChloéMedium Marcie Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Chloé Medium Marcie Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 35 × 28 × 11 cm, this medium satchel is well suited to daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, cosmetics pouch and a small tablet or notebook. It offers practical everyday space without feeling oversized. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact dimensions of this specific item.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This piece has dual wrapped handles and a detachable shoulder strap. The strap drop is approximately 47 cm, which generally works well for shoulder wear. Depending on your height and styling preference, it may sit too short for a comfortable true crossbody fit, so we recommend using the listed measurements as your guide.

Q: How is the bag organised inside?
A: This bag has a main compartment with zip and flap closure and a beige canvas lining with one internal pocket. It is a good option if you prefer a roomy interior with light organisation rather than many separate compartments.

Q: Is the Medium Marcie a good everyday bag?
A: Yes. The Marcie line is known for its relaxed, practical day-bag shape, and the medium size is especially popular for everyday use. This version combines a roomy silhouette with top handles and a detachable strap, making it easy to carry from day to evening.

Q: What material and hardware does this bag have?
A: This specific item is crafted in black leather and finished with gold-tone hardware. The Marcie line is especially known for its curved shape, hand-wrapped handles and saddle-inspired detailing.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This item is in Very Good Condition. There are light traces of use, including slight marks on the leather, pen marks on the lining, and light scratches to the shiny hardware. These signs are consistent with careful pre-owned wear and are reflected in the product information.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: This item includes a detachable shoulder strap. Any additional inclusions will be shown in the product information. If something is not listed there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product information, this bag was made in Italy.

Q: How should I care for vintage leather Marcie bags?
A: To help preserve the leather, avoid overloading the bag and keep it away from prolonged humidity, direct heat, strong sunlight and rough surfaces. Store it in a dust bag when not in use, and wipe gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Because this is a vintage item, gentle handling and careful storage will help maintain its shape and finish.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully reviewed for authenticity by in-house experts. Authentication is based on a close assessment of materials, construction, hardware, stamps and overall design details, so you can shop pre-owned luxury with confidence.
