FendiBaguette Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Fendi Baguette?
A: With approximate measurements of 27 × 15 × 6 cm, it comfortably holds a 6.7-inch smartphone, a compact or small wallet, keys, a lipstick and other small essentials. Bulky items like a water bottle or tablet will not fit well.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: This vintage piece has a single adjustable shoulder strap of about 52 cm and is designed primarily for shoulder or under‑arm wear. Newer Baguette models sometimes include a separate long strap for crossbody; this listing does not include a long crossbody strap.

Q: Is the strap adjustable or detachable?
A: The strap is adjustable to fine‑tune how high it sits on the shoulder. Detachability and hardware style vary by era; this example uses the classic shoulder strap format and is intended to remain attached in normal use.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The bag features a magnetic flap closure that provides quick yet reliable access. Align the flap so the magnet fully engages for best security.

Q: Will an iPhone Pro/Pro Max fit?
A: Yes. A 6.7‑inch smartphone fits comfortably alongside other small daily essentials within the dimensions above.

Q: Is this the classic Baguette size?
A: Yes. These measurements correspond to the classic/medium Baguette introduced in the late 1990s and widely regarded as the original size.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information on this page. For this piece, a box is included. If a dust bag or cards are not listed there, they are not included.

Q: Where is the serial number/date code located on vintage Fendi Baguette bags?
A: Depending on the production era, it may appear on a small leather tag in the main compartment or be printed on the lining inside the interior pocket. Placement and format vary, and the presence of a serial number alone does not guarantee authenticity. Our team can confirm what is present on this specific bag.

Q: How should I care for the yellow leather and prevent colour transfer?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after use; keep away from rain, oils, alcohol‑based products and abrasive surfaces; and store it lightly stuffed in a breathable cover in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Light colours can be prone to colour transfer, so avoid prolonged contact with dark textiles.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and serials. We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell and can share additional details on request.
