HermèsEvergrain Hebdo Reporter Bag

Q: What are the key features of the Hermès Hebdo Reporter bag?
A: This vintage crossbody is crafted in burgundy Evergrain calfskin with palladium‑plated hardware, an adjustable canvas shoulder strap and a herringbone canvas lining. It has two main zip compartments and an external zip pocket for quick access. Approximate measurements are 33 × 28 × 11 cm, with an adjustable drop around 50 cm.

Q: What typically fits inside this size?
A: It comfortably takes daily essentials plus A4 documents placed horizontally, a tablet and most slim 13‑inch laptops or ultraportables, along with a wallet, phone and small charger. If you use a padded sleeve or a bulky case, please compare your device’s dimensions with the measurements on this page and allow a little clearance for the zipped opening.

Q: Is the strap suitable for crossbody wear?
A: Yes. The canvas strap is adjustable for shoulder or crossbody wear, with an approximate drop of 50 cm at mid‑setting. Exact drop will vary by adjustment and by how full the bag is.

Q: What is Hermès Evergrain leather and how does it wear?
A: Evergrain is a refined, fine‑grained embossed calfskin with a soft hand and a matte, elegant look. It offers a nice balance of structure and suppleness but can be more prone to light surface scratches than some sturdier grains. Most minor scuffs can be gently buffed with a clean, soft cloth and will soften with normal use.

Q: How should I care for Evergrain leather?
A: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use, avoid heavy rubbing and contact with water, oils or dyed fabrics that may transfer colour. Let any moisture dry naturally away from heat. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag, upright and out of direct sunlight. For deep cleaning or conditioning, we recommend professional care or the Hermès spa service.

Q: Does this piece fit a laptop securely?
A: Most slim 13‑inch laptops fit in one of the zipped compartments. For best results, place the laptop parallel to the base and avoid overfilling so the zips close smoothly. Larger 14‑inch devices may fit depending on thickness, but please measure your device to be sure.

Q: What does the stamp Square Q mean?
A: The blind stamp with the letter Q inside a square indicates Hermès production from 2013. It is part of the brand’s date‑code system used to mark the year of manufacture.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information section and shown in the photos. For this piece, no additional items are included unless explicitly stated there.

Q: How is the condition graded on this bag?
A: It is in Very Good overall condition with visible scuff marks and some discolouration on the corners. The interior lining is Very Good with a few small stains, and the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches. Please review all photos and notes for full details.

Q: Is the Hebdo Reporter unisex and good for work or travel?
A: Yes. With its clean lines, adjustable strap and organised compartments, the Hebdo Reporter suits all genders and works well for commuting, meetings and light travel while remaining discreet and understated.
