Louis VuittonDamier Ebene Eva Bag

Q: What fits inside this Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Eva Bag?
A: This is a compact pochette-style bag that is best suited to essentials such as a phone, cardholder or compact wallet, keys, lipstick, and a few small daily items. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact dimensions, as capacity depends on the size of your belongings and how you organise them.

Q: Can this bag be worn as a shoulder bag or crossbody bag?
A: Yes. The Eva is known for its versatile shape and can be styled in more than one way. This piece has a handle measurement of approximately 21 cm and a strap measurement of approximately 60 cm, so it can work neatly as a shoulder bag and may suit crossbody wear depending on your height and preferred fit.

Q: Does this item come with a strap?
A: Yes. According to the product information, this bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap. The design also features a chain strap, which is part of the Eva’s signature look.

Q: Is this bag more suitable for day or evening use?
A: It works well for both. The slim silhouette and chain detail make it a popular evening option, while the coated Damier Ebene canvas and hands-free strap make it practical for everyday essentials too.

Q: What is the condition of this particular bag?
A: This item is listed in very good condition. The exterior shows scuffing and fraying on the leather tab, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What does the date code DU1029 indicate?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes are used to indicate the place and period of production on vintage pieces. The code DU1029 is consistent with production in France in 2009. As with all Louis Vuitton items, a date code supports identification but should not be used on its own as proof of authenticity.

Q: How should I care for Damier Ebene canvas and leather trim?
A: Clean gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals, heavy rain exposure, heat, and prolonged direct sunlight. Store the bag in a breathable dust bag and lightly stuff it when not in use to help maintain its shape. Take extra care around the leather tab, as this area already shows visible wear.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully checked for authenticity by specialists. Authentication is based on a combination of factors such as materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and date code details, rather than relying on one element alone.
