Louis VuittonMonogram Hudson PM Bag

Q: Is the Louis Vuitton Hudson PM still produced today?
A: No. The Hudson PM is a vintage, mid‑2000s style that is no longer sold new at Louis Vuitton. It is now found on the pre‑owned market only.

Q: How big is this bag and what typically fits inside?
A: The bag is approximately 30 × 18 × 8 cm. It comfortably fits a long wallet, smartphone, keys, sunglasses case and a small cosmetics pouch. A compact tablet (such as an iPad mini) can fit; full‑size tablets and documents may be tight. Please compare the measurements with your items for certainty.

Q: Is the strap adjustable and can it be worn crossbody?
A: Yes, the leather shoulder strap is adjustable. On this piece the drop is about 25 cm, which is ideal for shoulder carry. It is generally not long enough for most people to wear crossbody.

Q: How do the closures and pockets work?
A: The Hudson PM features two front pockets with push‑lock closures and a front flap with a buckle strap over the main compartment. The interior includes a slip pocket for small essentials.

Q: What are the materials and how do they wear?
A: The exterior is Louis Vuitton’s Monogram coated canvas with natural Vachetta leather trim and gold‑tone brass hardware. The canvas is hard‑wearing and water‑resistant, while Vachetta is untreated and will develop a darker patina over time and can mark with water. The interior is Alcantara (a microfibre suede‑like lining).

Q: How should I care for the Vachetta leather and canvas?
A: Keep Vachetta away from rain and liquids, avoid alcohol/alkaline cleaners, and condition sparingly with leather‑care products made for unfinished leathers. Wipe the canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Q: How do I clean the Alcantara lining?
A: Gently brush to lift dust. For light marks, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a small amount of mild soap, then blot dry and allow to air‑dry. Avoid soaking and harsh chemicals.

Q: Where is the date code and what if it’s hard to read?
A: On Alcantara‑lined Louis Vuitton bags, the date code may be stamped on a small leather tab or directly on the lining and can fade with use. It is normal for older pieces to have partially or fully illegible codes. Our team authenticates each item through a multi‑point review of materials, construction, stamps and hardware, not by the code alone.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. For this specific bag, the product information indicates no additional items are included.
