Q: What fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Monceau 28 Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 28 x 22 x 7 cm, this structured bag is best suited to everyday essentials such as a phone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other slim items. Its boxy silhouette helps keep belongings organised, but it is not designed for bulkier items or a laptop.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: Yes. This piece comes with an adjustable shoulder strap in the product information, along with a top handle. Depending on your height and preferred fit, it can usually be worn on the shoulder and may also suit crossbody wear for some people.

Q: What accessories are included with this bag?
A: According to the product information, this item includes the shoulder strap and keys. If another item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What is the condition of this vintage bag?
A: This bag is listed in good condition. The exterior shows minor scratches on the front leather tab, the interior has peeling in the inside pocket plus scratches and tarnish, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with most vintage Louis Vuitton bags, signs of age and use are normal.

Q: Is the interior pocket fully usable?
A: The interior pocket has peeling, which is a common issue seen on some older Louis Vuitton bags. It may still be usable for very light storage, but many buyers prefer to avoid placing valuables directly inside a pocket with peeling and instead use a small pouch for better protection.

Q: Does this bag have a serial number?
A: No serial number is provided in the product information for this item. Vintage Louis Vuitton bags typically use a date code rather than a unique serial number, and the code location can vary depending on the year and model.

Q: Is the Monceau 28 a practical everyday bag?
A: Yes, if you prefer a polished, structured shape and carry only daily essentials. The Monceau 28 is known for its elegant satchel-style design, secure front closure and organised interior, making it a good choice for day-to-evening use rather than for carrying larger items.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Monogram Monceau bag?
A: Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid overfilling, keep the structured shape supported when stored, and wipe the coated canvas and leather trim gently with a soft dry cloth. Because this is a vintage item with existing wear, gentle handling is recommended to help preserve its condition.

Q: Is this bag authentic?
A: A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage accessories, and all items are vetted before sale. For vintage Louis Vuitton, authenticity is typically assessed through a combination of materials, construction, hardware, stamps and overall details rather than relying on one feature alone.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product information, this bag was made in France.
