Louis VuittonMonogram Multiple Cite Bag

Q: What are the dimensions and how much does it hold?
A: The bag is approximately 37 × 26 × 11 cm. It comfortably fits daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, a small water bottle, cosmetics pouch, and a notebook. It also takes A4 documents and a slim 13-inch laptop; some 14–15 inch models may fit depending on their footprint and case thickness—compare your device to the bag’s measurements for certainty.

Q: Is it designed for shoulder carry or crossbody?
A: This model is a shoulder bag with dual adjustable straps. The drop is about 18 cm, which sits neatly under the arm and over light outerwear. It is not intended for crossbody wear.

Q: How are the external pockets arranged and what are they useful for?
A: This Multiple Cité configuration features three exterior pockets for quick-access items. They are ideal for things like a phone, travel card, or keys you want to reach without opening the main compartment.

Q: What is the interior like?
A: It has a red Alcantara (microfibre) lining with practical interior pockets to keep smaller items organised. The top zip closure secures the main compartment.

Q: Is this a current Louis Vuitton style?
A: This is a vintage, archival Cité family style from the early 2000s that is no longer part of the current main collection. Availability today is primarily through trusted pre-owned specialists like A Retro Tale.

Q: Will a laptop fit through the zip opening?
A: Most 13-inch laptops and tablets slide in horizontally without issue. For larger devices, clearance depends on the corner radius and sleeve thickness; if your device is close to the width, angle it slightly when inserting.

Q: What materials is it made from and how durable is it?
A: The exterior is Louis Vuitton Monogram coated canvas with natural Vachetta leather trim and gold-tone hardware. The canvas is hard-wearing and wipe-clean; Vachetta is untreated, developing a honey patina over time and showing water marks if exposed to moisture.

Q: How should I care for the Vachetta and canvas on a vintage piece?
A: Keep Vachetta dry and avoid rain or oils. If it gets damp, blot gently and air dry away from heat. Clean canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild, pH‑neutral soap only if needed. Store loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Q: Where can I find the date code on this model?
A: On vintage Louis Vuitton with Alcantara lining, the date code is typically stamped directly on the lining or on a small leather tab along an interior seam or under a pocket. Codes can lighten with age and may be hard to read; authenticity is assessed holistically by our experts, not by a code alone.

Q: What is included with this purchase?
A: This listing includes the bag only. Everything included is listed under product information on this page. If an item such as a dust bag or box is not mentioned there, it is not included—contact us if you would like us to confirm.
