Q: What size is this Omega De Ville, and how does 33 mm wear?
A: This watch has a 33 mm case diameter. By modern standards, that is a refined smaller size, typical of vintage dress watches, and it tends to wear neatly and elegantly on the wrist rather than oversized.

Q: What does ca 1970 mean?
A: Ca 1970 means circa 1970, so the watch dates from around that year rather than an exact documented production date.

Q: What condition is the watch in?
A: According to the product information, the overall condition is Very Good. The exterior and internal condition are both noted as Very Good with light traces of use, and the hardware is described as shiny with light scratches.

Q: Does this watch come with box, papers, or other extras?
A: No. The product information states that this watch comes with no additional items included.

Q: Is the movement mechanical or quartz?
A: The exact movement type is not specified in the product information. If you would like that detail confirmed before purchase, we recommend contacting us and we will be happy to verify it for you.

Q: Can the strap be replaced?
A: Yes. This watch is fitted with a brown leather strap and buckle closure, and leather straps on vintage dress watches are commonly replaceable. For the best fit and finish, we recommend having any strap change done professionally.

Q: Is this watch water resistant?
A: Water resistance is not stated in the product information. As with most vintage watches, it is safest to treat it as not suitable for water exposure unless it has been recently pressure-tested by a qualified watchmaker.

Q: Can I wear this watch every day?
A: Yes, it can be worn regularly if treated with care. Because it is a vintage watch with a leather strap, it is best to avoid water, heavy knocks, strong magnetic fields, perfumes, and prolonged direct sunlight.

Q: How often should a vintage Omega be serviced?
A: Service needs vary with age and use, but regular maintenance is important for a vintage mechanical watch. If there is no recent service history, a precautionary inspection by a trusted watchmaker is a sensible step before frequent wear.

Q: How do you authenticate this Omega watch?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully checked for authenticity by specialists. For vintage Omega watches, this typically includes assessment of the dial, case, movement, markings, and overall construction, together with consistency of period details.
