A: Tiffany encourages regular wear of its silver jewellery. To help preserve the finish, remove the necklace before exercise, household chores and activities that could expose it to chemicals or abrasion.

Q: Can Tiffany silver jewellery tarnish?
A: Yes. Silver can tarnish through exposure to humidity, perspiration, cosmetics, chlorine and other chemicals. Tarnishing is a normal characteristic of silver and is not, by itself, evidence that a piece is inauthentic.

Q: Should I remove the necklace before showering or swimming?
A: Yes. Tiffany recommends removing its jewellery before showering, bathing or swimming, including in pools and the sea. Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotions and household cleaning products too.

Q: How should I clean this pre-owned necklace?
A: Gently wipe it with a soft cloth after wear. For tarnish on silver surfaces, follow Tiffany's silver-care guidance and avoid harsh chemicals or vigorous polishing. If you are unsure about the finish or any decorative details, ask a jewellery specialist before applying a cleaner.

Q: How should I store the necklace?
A: Store it dry in a soft pouch or a separate compartment in a jewellery box to reduce abrasion. Keep the chain laid out neatly to help prevent tangling. As no accessories are included, you will need to provide your own storage pouch or box.
