CelineSmall Triomphe Vertical Cabas Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Céline Small Triomphe Vertical Cabas?
A: Despite its slim profile, it comfortably carries daily essentials: a large smartphone (including most Pro/Max models), a continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft sleeve, a small cosmetics pouch, an A5 notebook/diary and a compact water bottle. A4 documents in a slim folder can fit upright; bulky binders are usually too wide. Capacity can vary slightly by edition—please refer to the Measurements on this page or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a tablet or laptop?
A: Standard tablets (e.g., iPad, iPad Air/11-inch iPad Pro) typically fit. A 13-inch laptop is generally too wide for the Small Vertical Cabas; slimmer devices may fit without a thick sleeve. Compare your device’s dimensions with the Measurements listed, or ask us to perform a quick fit check for this item.

Q: Does it come with a strap and can I wear it crossbody?
A: This piece includes dual top handles and a detachable shoulder strap, allowing shoulder or high crossbody wear for many. We list handle/strap drops in the Measurements section—if anything is missing, just ask and we’ll confirm for you.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior layout?
A: The Vertical Cabas is open-top for easy access. It offers good day-to-day practicality; for commuting or travel we recommend keeping the bag upright and placing valuables in the interior zipped pocket or a small pouch. This item features a tonal fabric lining with one internal zipped pocket—please see our photos for the exact layout.

Q: What materials and hardware does this piece have?
A: This listing specifies brown Triomphe coated canvas with tan leather trim and gold‑tone hardware. Our photos and description show the exact finish and details of this bag.

Q: How should I care for Triomphe coated canvas and leather trim?
A: Coated canvas is durable—wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Keep the leather trim away from moisture, oils and prolonged sunlight, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim (especially onto lighter/tan leather). Condition smooth leather sparingly with a high‑quality neutral product after testing on a discreet area. Store the bag lightly stuffed, upright, in a breathable dust bag, and avoid overfilling to preserve its shape.

Q: Is it rainproof?
A: The coated canvas has good water resistance, but the leather trim is not waterproof. Avoid heavy rain; if it gets lightly wet, blot (don’t rub) with a soft cloth and allow to air‑dry away from heat. We don’t recommend waterproofing sprays unless specifically suitable—if you choose to use one, test on an inconspicuous area first.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and where is this piece made?
A: Authentic Céline bags carry a “CELINE PARIS” heat stamp and a country‑of‑origin stamp inside. Many pieces include an internal production/serial code, typically found on or near an interior pocket; placement and format can vary by era. This item is stamped Made in France—contact us if you’d like close‑up photos of the markings on this exact bag.

Q: Is the Triomphe Vertical Cabas still produced?
A: The Triomphe Vertical Cabas is an ongoing Céline style, though details (lining, strap treatments and seasonal colours) can vary over time. The pre‑loved market is ideal for finding specific configurations like this Small size in brown Triomphe canvas.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: Included items are listed under “Accessories.” For this piece, we note a dust bag and a detachable shoulder strap. Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, production code and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
